On the ARC front, I received a couple which I am thrilled to have and read soon!
Never Broken: Jewel - I just posted this as my W.O.W. this week and then yesterday evening, received approval from Netgalley and Penguin. It comes out next Tuesday and I am thrilled to have it. I remember my husband introducing me to Jewel when we were dating and I have loved her ever since.
Wither: Amy Miles - Tell me that cover doesn't look out of place with the other 3? This one is already out and I want to thank Red Coat PR.
The Teachings of Shirelle - Live Lessons from a Divine Knucklehead: Douglas Green - First of all, those who know me...a dog. Enough said. But I couldn't pass off that title. Smith Publishing is releasing this one November 17, 2015.
Pale Moon Walking: Paula Altenburg- Entangled Teen releases this on September 28, 2015.
And I entered the 1-click danger zone again this week - and even paid full price for one, but in my defense, I have been waiting on it forever.
Chapelwood (The Borden Dispatches #2): Cherie Priest - I loved the first book so much that I broke down and finally paid $9.99 to get this on my Kindle - almost unheard of. But I do plan on reading it toward the end of the month so.....
Witches of Lychford: Paul Cornell - I saw this reviewed on someone's blog as part of R.I.P. and it sounded great so I grabbed it. It was only $2.99 and I believe it's a novella - albeit a longer one.
Blood Call : Lilith Saintcrow - This was a daily deal last week and I had it on my watch list so I couldn't resist.
Strange Afterlives: A. Lee Martinez. This is an anthology from a lot of great writers, but when I saw A. Lee Martinez's name and $1.99, I entered the 1-click zone. I also fell in love with the cover.
So what did you get this week? Let me know where I can see your stack so I can ease my guilt.
I hauled too many books again!!!! |
I know what you mean, I really need to stop buying books. It's really my only vice. lol
ReplyDeleteWither and Pale Moon Walking booth look awesome! I'm still on the fence about Blood Call, though.
Great haul! Happy reading!
One Clicking is dangerous indeed. I know sometimes I do that as well. You got a nice assortment of books this week. I hope you love all of them.

Ooo, Wither is one for me to get! Happy reading ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested to hear what you think of Pale Moon Walking-I'm in two minds over this one because of the romance element. I'm tempted by the Cherie Priest series which sounds intriguing...Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteYou really should give Maplecroft a try, I know it gets mixed reviews, but I really loved it.
DeleteI don't think there's such a thing as hauling too many books ;)
ReplyDeleteAlthough, that 1-click buy can be quite dangerous.
I hope you get to enjoy all your new books. Happy reading!
So many books. Great Haul. I hope you enjoy everything you got :)

I'm not familiar with any of these, but I hope you love them all!!! Oh, and there's no such thing as too many books :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Jewel when she first came out a billion years ago. I'll have to see if the library has that book. What in the world has she been doing? Great haul and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI know she was married for several years and had a son, only recently divorcing. She has done a few country records the past few years and I am not the biggest country fan, but I have always kind of kept an eye on her. I can't wait to read this.
DeleteEnjoy your books! They look good.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh.... that dog book! Love the cover and the title. I have SO many books in my TBR pile/list but that one looks very tempting!
