"Waiting on" Wednesday" is weekly meme hosted over at Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming anticipated releases.

April 5, 2016
FROM GOODREADS: Emotive is a tale of life, love, compassion, and the pursuit of happiness as told through the eyes of the story's narrator, Linus. Linus is a puppy living in a small city located in the rolling hillsides of upstate New York. When the abnormalities of his owner Sam are all he knows since birth, he gains a perspective of unyielding acceptance and love towards the man who feeds him, takes him to the park, and murders women in his basement.

WHY I'M WAITING: First of all the cover grabbed me, and then when I found out this is a darker tale, narrator by the dog, Linus, I realized I would have to have it!

Stacking the Shelves (46)

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews.  Clicking on the book should take you to the Goodreads page.

I am also doing this post ahead of time on Wednesday because I highly doubt I have any time to blog the next 2-3 days.  I only have a few Kindle titles I picked up on sale to share and a few galleys.  I will add any Christmas books to next weeks stack.

From Amazon I picked up these four.  All of them were $4.50 or cheaper.

Sugar Skulls Trial by Fire English Ghost Story Flex

From Netgalley I received:

Breaker Last Call A Cure for Madness Lustlocked

I couldn't resist the cover of Lustlocked.  Now I need to hurry up and read the first one. Thanks Netgalley and all the publishers!

What did you snag this week.  Leave a comment so I can make sure to check out your stacks!

June 28, 2016
FROM GOODREADS: In the second installment of New York Times bestselling author Morgan Rhodes's highly acclaimed Falling Kingdoms spin-off series, danger looms and the mystery deepens as two warring evils vie for possession of one elusive, powerful book.
Modern-day Toronto: Sisters Crystal and Becca Hatcher are reunited after reclaiming the Bronze Codex and narrowly escaping death. They have no one to trust but each other, and the only thing keeping them safe is the book that sent Becca's spirit to Ancient Mytica--the same book that their enemies would kill them for.

Ancient Mytica: Maddox grapples to keep his newly discovered powers under control, while the ruthless goddess Valoria hunts him down.

Modern-day Toronto: Farrell embraces his dark side as he unwittingly falls further under the spell of Markus, the mastermind leader of the nefarious Hawkspear Society, who will stop at nothing to find Crys and Becca--and the remarkable book in their possession.

WHY I'M WAITING: Even though I have yet to start the Falling Kingdoms series, I read the first Spirit and Thieves book and absolutely loved it.  I can't wait to see what happens next.

I participated in a secret gift exchange with interested individuals from the COYER Challenges and received two wonderful ebooks from my secret elf.  I have wanted them both for quite a while and now I have no excuse for not reading a Maria V. Snyder book.

I also snagged a few Kindle books.

I believe all these were free when I picked them up. Who can resist "A Zombie Christmas." Looks like a great short story to read Christmas Eve day.
