This top 10 weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and can be found HERE. Each week they focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading. This week we are looking at 10 books set outside of the U.S which I have read. I don't know if I can actually come up with 10, but if I can't, I'll add ones that I still need to read.
Regency-era London
Peru, India, China, as well as the U.S.
London
Scotland
Lake District, England
Sweden
Australia
France
England
Hungary
So that really wasn't so hard although it seems like I do read books primarily set in the U.S. with the runner up being England. If you haven't read Lucy Dillon's series and you like contemporaries or dogs, you simply must start it. And if you if enjoyed "Me, Earl and the Dying Girl" definitely give "Life in Outer Space" a go - I liked it even better.
What made your list this week?
The only one I have heard of is The Dark Days Club, I've been meaning to check it out. Some interesting picks and lots of locations. My Top Ten
ReplyDeleteRead two of those books, but not heard of most of them. :) I tend to read mostly books set in either US or England as well. I have been wanting to try some crime novels set in Australia but not done it yet. :) I need to branch out. :)
ReplyDeleteI have the Dark Days Club on my TBR :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Hatching is one I am super interested in reading. The rest are all new to me so I all have to check them out. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list!! I forgot the books I've read that take place in Sweden and Norway! The Hatching looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe Countess looks SO good! I really want to read it sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent list!! The Hatching is such a good one. I want to read The Ice Twins.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of "Life in Outer Space" but that cover makes me want to go check it out! "The Hatching" sounds intriguing too, with so many different settings! And of course the dog book caught my eye. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh The Circle. I still need to get around to reading that one!
ReplyDeleteAll of these look good! Great list! Thanks for visiting my TTT! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteOh, you have reminded me that I need to get going on Lucy Dillon's books! I've been making a big effort to read my huge pile of books I've bought over the years and never got to. Once I make a good dent in them I need to remember to get some of her books!
ReplyDeleteI feel bad because I haven't read any of these :( I do own two of them though.
