Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.
I grabbed a couple of free books for my Kindle and also purchased 2 that were on sale for less that $2.00. I know "Hounded" was $1.99 (Chuckles will be glad to see this one) and I think "Whiskey, Vamps and Thieves" was the same price (and yes, I have continually had the Cher song going round and round in my head since this post started). I though "The Familiar" and "Murder Bites" looked cute so when I saw the for free (I think, don't quote me) I grabbed them.
I also managed to score a few awesome review books this week. You've already seen "Greedy Pigs" on my Weekly Reads so I won't share it again. I also was provided a copy of "Spectacle" by Rachel Vincent. I loved "Menagerie" so much I was jumping up and down when I got this yesterday (I'll takes the highs where I can get them :) I also received "The Luster of Lost Things" which was a Canine ADHD grab and "Hollywood Homicide" is a new mystery release from one of my favorite publishers, Midnight Ink. I also am interested to see what "Letters to the Lost" is all about. I see a definite blue theme this week.
I'm pretty excited for all of these reads. What did you add to your shelves this week?
This is the second time I've seen Spectacle today so must check it out. I've also heard about Letters to the Lost. Great picks! My Shelf
ReplyDeleteI expect awesome things from Spectacle because Menagerie was so great!
DeleteYea for Hounded! You are going to love Oberon! It's certainly a nice mixture of books that you have this week...enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to "meet" him officially!
DeleteYou got some great books this week! I hope you enjoy them all. I hope you have a great weekend as well and that things are going good for ya'll.
ReplyDeleteGoing better here than last weekend. Thanks Stormi!
DeleteI was supposed to read Menagerie last year but I just had too many review books. Darn it, now I'm really behind! I'll look forward to your review of Spectacle...
ReplyDeleteI think you would like it and hope you can make time for it soon.
DeleteI can't wait for Spectacle! I will probably listen to the audio when it comes out since the first one was great. Letters to the Lost looks good and I am tempted by Hounded. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteChuckles loves Hounded and I know she won't steer me wrong with the series since there is a seriously adorable, as well as opinionated, dog involved.
DeleteAll kinds of goodness! I love that title Whiskey, Vamps and Thieves and Spectacle has me thinking about Menagerie again- which I never did get to.
ReplyDeleteMake time for it - now! Thanks for stopping by Greg.
DeleteThe theme of this week seems to be blue covers! Lots of new stuff to me, but they're all very pretty :)

Isn't it funny how some weeks just seem to have more of a theme than others? Even when we aren't trying!
DeleteIsn't that funny when that happens---I had kind of bluish green theme will almost all the books I got recently! :D I'm very excited for Letters to the Lost--it looks sad but really good!
ReplyDeleteI bet it will be sad but it really caught my attention.
DeleteLetters to the Lost is on my TBR list, too! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat books :D Hope you'll enjoy them all :)

Hopefully we both love it!
DeleteI love the cover of The Familiar. It is so cute!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it (and that's coming from a dog person).
DeleteI've been seeing Spectacle around but the title of Whiskey Vamps put a smile on my face. Sounds like a great read.

I hope it's good. Now if I could only get that song out of my head.
DeleteFree/cheap books are the best! I see two familiar books - Letters to the Lost and Spectacle. I got Letters to the Lost last week and Spectacle this week! I'm excited to read both. I hear this is Brigid Kemmerer's best yet. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week, Barb. :)
Check out my STS post!
It seems to be getting quite a bit of hype lately. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI keep meaning to read Hounded. Thanks for the reminder. A lot of these look like good matches for me. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
I'm soooo far behind on the Iron Druid series but I'm sure I'll love them once I get started. Plus, I couldn't resist grabbing it for $1.99
DeleteHa! once I get that Cher song in my head I can't let go either! I think I added Menagerie to GR because of you review! OMG the cover of "Spectacle" is something else! Looking forward to that review as well :)
ReplyDeleteIt has to have one of my the best covers this year! It makes me want to own a physical copy.
DeleteOooo Letters to the Lost! I'm super curious about that book, so I hope you enjoy it :D Great haul!

Hounded is quite a lot of fun! I think I only read the first three in that series but I'd like to get back to it one day. :)
