Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books. It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Hello guys, it's Booker T and Cass. We're sneaking in and using Mom's computer while she is at work. We haven't had a chance to work (play) on it in a while and we have to make an appearance for our faithful followers every once in a while. Mom's been busy with Christmas prep and Dad's birthday is this weekend so we're sure she won't mind. We've each picked a book we think Mom and a lot of your will like!
FROM GOODREADS: The Tail Waggin' Winterfest is the highlight of the season in the famously pet-friendly Pocono Mountains town of Sylvan Creek. But despite attractions like an ice sculpture display, a dogsled race, and gourmet hot chocolate, Daphne Templeton finds herself annoyed by TV producer Lauren Savidge, who's filming the festivities. She's critical, controlling, and as chilly as the January air. Daphne would like to tell her to go jump in a lake--and as a matter of fact, that's exactly what they're both going to do . . .
It's the first-ever polar bear plunge in Lake Wallapawakee, and Daphne and Lauren are among the eighty or so people who charge into the frigid water to raise funds for animals in need. Daphne makes it back to shore--with the help of a mysterious St. Bernard--but Lauren is dragged out stone cold dead. Now, with her trusty basset hound Socrates at her side, Daphne intends to assist Detective Jonathan Black in his investigation--whether he wants her to or not . .
WHY BOOKER T CAN'T WAIT: Mom loves this series and I think that philosophical basset named Socrates is one cool pup!
FROM GOODREADS: The ancient land of Éirinn is mired in war. Ciara, Princess of Mide, has never known a time when Éirinn’s kingdoms were not battling for power, or Northmen were not plundering their shores.
The people of Mide have thankfully always been safe because of Ciara’s unearthly ability to control her enemies’ minds and actions. But lately, a mysterious crow has been appearing to Ciara, whispering warnings of an even darker threat. Although her clansmen dismiss her visions as pagan nonsense, Ciara fears this coming evil will destroy not just Éirinn, but the entire world.
Then the crow leads Ciara to Leif, a young Northman leader. Leif should be Ciara’s enemy, but when Ciara discovers that he, too, shares her prophetic visions, she knows he’s something more. Leif is mounting an impressive army, and with Ciara’s strength in battle the two might have a chance to save their world.
With evil rising around them, they’ll do what it takes to defend the land they love…even if it means making the greatest sacrifice of all.
WHY CASSIUS CAN'T WAIT: A mysterious crow??? Mom, can I have a mysterious crow....PLEASE!
SO WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT BOOKS YOU CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS WEEK???

DeleteYou guys pick the best books😉 Personally, my dogs would kill the mysterious crow...
ReplyDeleteCass is obsessed with birds but he hasn't gotten really close enough to know what he would do. There's a chance he might as well.
DeleteI love the covers on the first dog book! But dogs are my weakness as you know.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun series so I would recommend the first two.
DeleteNovels with dogs in it are always entertaining. Hope you´ll enjoy your picks. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteRenee ~ My CWW
You should check out books 1 and 2 before this one comes out!
DeleteLove the idea of a Basset Hound sidekick. As for the crows, they sometimes drop acorns on my Golden Retriever. Still, the book sounds good.
ReplyDeleteHorrible crows. Bet you Golden doesn't care for that at all!
DeleteWell, I see that you boys have done it again -- picked two GREAT books!! You guys are the cat's meow! Oh, wait...maybe that's not such a good expression to use... Sorry.... ARF, ARF!!
ReplyDeleteI am especially interested in "Beyond a Darkened Shore". It's not that I love crows. Lol. It's that I LOVE fantasy, as well as kick-butt heroines! :) :)
