So, I wanted to give everyone a heads-up on a challenge I have created and am hosting for the month of February. It's the "They Call It Puppy Love" challenge and the rules are as follows:
- Make a sign up post and link it here to the blog.
- Read at least one book which: has a dog (or cat) on the cover or features a dog (or cat) in it.
- Do a wrap up post at the end of February with links to your review(s).
Seems easy enough huh? At the end of the month, I will put all the participants in a bowl and Booker T will pick a lucky winner. That person will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to Amazon or Book Depository.
Contest is open to everyone.
I might actually do this one. I think I have at least one book that meets the criteria that needs to be read. Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteSurely you can find one. I made the rules super simple since it's my first challenge!
DeleteSounds fun!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in! It's great to find an interesting challenge without a ton of rules! I've got about 8 dog heavy books put aside but I think I can find more in my apocalypse books. I'm looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteYea! Auntie Chuckles is in!
Delete*laughs* My sign up post will go up on Feb 1st then I'll link to yours. I haven't forgotten!
Deletei don't know whether I can do this challenge just yet, but I just wanted to say, it sounds so fun and utterly adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hope you can find time to participate.
DeleteHow fun!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Erica.
DeleteThis sounds adorable! Must see how many books I can read with dogs and/or cats on the cover! Challenge accepted! Now to go write a post and find some cute books! My pups are going to be jealous ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled to see you participating. I think we'll all have lots of fun!
Deleteawwwww I LOVE this! Sounds fun! I'll have to dig in my treasure chest to see what book with a dog or cat I can find. :)
ReplyDeleteSurely you can find one. There are several dog horror books from the 80's if you want a "Harder" recommendation :)
DeleteI am sure I can fit in a cozy with a dog on or in the book. :)
ReplyDeleteYEA!
DeleteSo happy! Found the perfect book! See you on twitter!
ReplyDeleteYou know I suck at challenges and I'm a super slow reader but you tempt me. Can I sign up if I only do one?
ReplyDeleteYep...all you have to do is one to participate.
DeleteI think I can handle that :) It's not like I don't have fifty dog books around here or anything . . .
DeleteI can relate.
DeleteI am in! I have at least two that I can read.
ReplyDeleteGreat!
DeleteAwww I love this idea! I just read a book where the guy always had his best friend, a dog, with him. I got soooo attached to her. But I'm sure I can find another one next month. =D
ReplyDeleteWhat was the book Jen? I'm curious and always looking for dog recommendations.
DeleteLook, I even remembered to add my link! Hopefully I'll remember to read the book :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in! My son is a big dog book reader and he's super into the Hero series so I will definitely be reading at least one of those, but I'm hoping to squeeze in a genre dog, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't have any dog/cat books on my February tbr, but I will keep that in mind for next year if you do this agsin! I loved reading everyone's posts.💜
