I had to turn a few books back into the library this week and they have recently remodeled and reopened so of course I had to have a look around. I saw "Space Dumplins" online and thought it looked like a fun, colorful read and I've been curious about Blade, oops I mean Wesley Snipes, writing a book so when I saw "Talon of God" on the NEW shelves I had to take a risk.
I was trying to stay of Netgalley, but who am I kidding. I received an invitation for "The School for Psychics" and since it was a Can't Wait Wednesday feature not so long ago, I couldn't resist. I got the third installment of Bethany Blake's The Lucky Paws Petsitting Mysteries, "Pawprints & Predicaments" and I can't wait to start it. "A Riesling to Die" is the start of a new series and what can I say - DOG. I totally blame Tammy from Books Bones & Buffy for my "Obscura" grab while "The Flight Attendant" is #StormiMadeMeDoIt. Finally I take total responsibility for "The Merry Spinster."
So what books did you add to your shelves this week????
Heh Blade wrote a book -- I will never be over that! Space Dumplins sounds adorable and School for Psychics sounds amazing (read that one first ;)
ReplyDeleteI am curious to know what you think of Wesley Snipes book cause I didn't know he wrote one! I think we were both pretty bad on Negalley this week...lol. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, too much enabling on both sides :) I'm really unsure about it so I was glad to see my library finally got a copy.
DeleteYou weren't as bad as I was...Jon Athan's horror books are on sale at £2 each so I just spent £40 snapping them all up...*sigh* And I thought I was showing restraint! Hopefully that'll make you feel better about your Netgalley splurge!
ReplyDeleteYes, you made me feel so much better - except now I need to look up this author!
DeleteWell, your Netgalley books *do* look good!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLet's hope we both love Obscura so you don't hate me later, lol! I love the cover of The Merry Spinster.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you enabled a lot of people with that one!
DeleteI hope you enjoy the new goodies! My Shelf
ReplyDeleteThanks Eve!

So far it's pretty good. And so colorful. Glad I snagged it!
DeleteHaha yeah I was curious about Snipes' book too when it came out! Haven't heard much about it though, which is surprising. I also grabbed a copy of Obscura from NetGalley, thanks to Tammy!

I don't have high hopes for the Snipes book. I almost bought it when it came out but didn't want to pay full price. Glad my library broke down and ordered it.
DeleteOh boy, so many good ones. I see why Netgalley got you too. I grabbed one from Netgalley and one from Edelweiss this week myself.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed to be the week to grab things!
DeleteHa! I have the same problem with NetGalley! I requested way too many books this week yet again...sigh! I really want to read The Flight Attendant myself! These all look great - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI totally blame Stormi for grabbing that one. I couldn't resist.
DeleteLots of good looking books. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy all these books. I haven’t read any of them. They’re new to me. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful week and happy reading. ❤️😁
ReplyDeleteYou too and thanks for visiting!
DeleteSpace Dumplins looks so cute!!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable.
DeleteWesley Snipes wrote a book? Mind blown tbh lol I hope it's good!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all your new reads, and have a great week :)
I don't have high expectations. But then sometimes, those are the best books.
DeleteEnjoy your books! Those NetGalley invitations seem to come when I have a crowded calendar...but if they are irresistible, what can we do?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
Uh oh, Netgalley got you! I hope they're all awesome. I can't even look over there. I must get my TBR under control this year!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about the Wesley Snipes book. I thought it would be about vampires but, I just read it is paranormal about demons, interesting. I have enjoyed Chris Bohjalian books, I'll have to check into The Flight Attendant. Great haul Barb, I hope you enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteBlade, oops I mean Wesley Snipes :DDDDDD made me laugh for sure...
ReplyDeleteStaying away from the library and NetGalley = mission impossible. But it seems like these are some pretty cool books :)
Love your Sunday meme button! I just re-did my Wednesday one, I need to make my own Sunday post one as well. I may have to add some of your new books to my TBR. Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post earlier!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty good at staying away from Netgalley now, but back in the day. Whew! I have such a low review percentile just because I requested more than I could handle. Yikes.
