So first of all I stopped by the library that's further off the beaten path for me this week as I was in that neck of the woods. They had 2 CDs I wanted to grab to listen to - the new one Justin Timberlake and another by The Chainsmokers. While there, of course I had to grab a book or two so here's what else came home with me.
I've been wanting to read "Saga Vol. 8" since it was released and "Leaving Jack" was a complete impulse grab - there was a dog on the spine and I saw it when I walked by the stacks!
So that's pretty much it this week. I think I may have missed an arc but as time is short, I'll just add it next week.
What did you guys add to your shelves this week???
I am super behind with Saga. I really enjoyed the first one and I didn't realize how far along it's come!
ReplyDeleteI love that rainbow zebra on the cover of this one. I've already started it and am loving it as much as the first ones!
DeleteLeaving Jack looks like one of those books that I would have to read with a box of tissues sitting next to me. Can't wait to hear how it was.
ReplyDeleteI plan on starting it in a week or so so I'll keep you posted!
DeleteI knew you had to have one book with a dog on the cover! LOL
ReplyDeleteOf course! You can count on me to be consistent!
DeleteGreat choices this week. I have the first Saga but haven't gotten to it yet. I assume since you are on 8 that it's good? I may have to give it a shot this weekend. Thanks for sharing! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my faves and kind of what got me started in on graphic novels.
DeleteBarb, I really like Chainsmokers. Enjoy your haul too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAngelica @ Paperback Princess
I can't wait to listen to it.
DeleteI had a pretty good week with new monsters and horror to try!
ReplyDeleteI know, I loved some of the books you snagged!
DeleteI need to get caught up Saga!
ReplyDeleteYes you do. Hey, did you see there is a new Tremors, I think #4, on Netflix? You need to feature it in your movies that suck feature.
DeleteI really should! I think I DID see it and I laughed, they made ANOTHER one ha ha??
DeleteYikes, I'm so behind on Saga! I think I'm about two volumes behind. Funny thing is, I own all the trade paperbacks, but they just stack up on my bedside table waiting (someday!) to be read.
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Once you get into them they will be such quick reads.
DeleteThese are both new to me but I love library finds! I hope you enjoy these :)
ReplyDeleteI know sometimes it's fun just to grab things you never planned on getting.
DeleteI've seen the Saga ones around for a while with rave reviews I just have never picked them up. Might have to branch out because they look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think you should!
DeleteMy library needs to get on the ball with the rest of Saga!
ReplyDeleteThank heavens I have a great library.
DeleteI really need to continue the saga series, I've only read the first two. Sadly, I can't borrow any of them from my library and comics are quite expensive. I hope you'll enjoy both books!
ReplyDeleteI know, I rarely buy any. I just grab them from the library...but I've recently gotten access to Hoopla so that helps.
DeleteHAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, BARB!! How are your fur babies doing? Are they treating Mom like a Queen? I'm SURE they are!! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteI'm off to go see my mom now, but I'll be back later!! HUGS TO YOU AND YOUR CUTE PUPS, AND WOOF, WOOF TO THEM!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
Hope you had a great time with you Mom! Happy Mother's Day to you as well.
DeleteThanks!! I did have a great time with Mom!! HUGS TO YOU ALL!! WOOF, WOOF TO THE PUPS!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
DeleteI hope you have a great week - I love it when I wander into a library and come out with unexpected finds:))
ReplyDeleteIt's always a lot of fun!
DeleteThe library is always an adventure, I never know what I will end up taking home!
ReplyDeleteThat's part of the fun with it. And hey, they are free!
DeleteI still need to read Saga Volumes 7 and 8! I'm just loving that series!!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays and Cover Spotlight!
I remember not loving some of the middle ones but they were still good. I think volumes 6 and 7 really picked back up.
DeleteEnjoy your books! They look tempting, and should thoroughly engage you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
I agree, very tempting!
DeleteLeaving Jack looks like a potential sob maker. I'll let you read it first :) I'm also so behind on Saga. Actually I only read #1. I loved it but something else always jumps in front of it.
ReplyDeleteOnce I start them I breeze through them but it's the starting that's the hard part.
DeleteI signed up for a blog tour in June for Atticus by Sawyer Bennet. There is a dog on the cover. I have been looking at this book since the cover reveal a few months back. The dog plays quite a role according to the synopsis. Jill Shalvis is an author who makes dogs important in some of her books. I love Kevin (a dog) who lives with the firefighter. Anne - Books of My Heart
ReplyDeleteI just checked out Attitus. I HAVE to have that one.
DeleteOh, a small haul this week, but looks like a good one...I love how the covers complement each other.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. - Katie
Oh man, I'm so far behind on Saga! Volume EIGHT already?!
ReplyDeleteA quick week but nothing wrong with that!
