The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish but starting this week, they are handing over the reins to ThatArtsyReaderGirl who can be found HERE. Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.
So it seems lately I have been putting some different twists on TTT so why should this week be any different? I'm sure I'll look at the lists and be like "Yea, why didn't I think of that one?" but for the current time, since I think I may struggle with this one, I'm dividing it into HUMAN NAMES and PET NAMES. Is it really that surprising???
THE HUMANS
STOKER (The Veronica Speedwell Mysteries)
CASPER (in particular because in the book, he's a ghost hunter!)
ATL (the badass female vampire)
BONES (those that know him know I needn't have to say more)
PEPPER NEELY (because I think it's an awesome name for a young adventurous gal to have)
PETS
SOCRATES (such a cute name for an intelligent Basset Hound)
PETER O'DROOL (the Pug)
CUALLI ( An awesome tattooed Doberman.
Can you tell I like this book? Seriously guys, read it!)
SMOOSHIE (Cass' book-girlfriend)
ENZO ( I can still envision him attacking the evil zebra).
So there you have it. Can you guess which list was easiest for me???
I'm betting the pet list was easier for you to compile :) I love the name Peter O'Drool.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week. - Katie
Definitely easier for pets.
Delete*dies laughing* Peter O'Drool? PETER O'DROOL? OMG *can't breathe* THat is THE BEST!
ReplyDeleteI agree. When I ran across that in the book, I couldn't stop laughing.
DeleteLove your twist on the list. Those dog names are great! I have a dog named Zeba and lots of people think it is cool but I can't take credit for it. She came to us with that name. I was going to change it to Reba but Zeba was so unique we kept it.
ReplyDeleteZeba is a really cool name. I'm glad you kept it!
DeleteAww Smooshie😊 I love that. And yes, Cualli was a wonderful character in a wonderful story!
ReplyDeleteYes, Cualli remains one of my favorite dogs of all time.
DeleteYou found some cute ones! Smooshie & Peter O'Drool would be my picks too had I read the books and not been too lazy to ever get around to putting together a TTT post :) I also love Bones. I need to finish that series before I die.
ReplyDeleteI'll always love Smooshie. I think some of the topics the past few months have required too much thought :)
DeleteStoker! That was the only cool name I could think of for this TTT so I didn't do it. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I knew immediately if you made a list, Stoker would hit the top.
DeleteI like Socrates, but I'm partial to Bassets. And Peter O'Drool is cute too. Nice lists!
ReplyDeleteBassets are so awesome and cute.
DeleteSmooshie? I'm already melting. Great list!
ReplyDeleteShe is such a sweetheart in the books.
DeleteSocrates- I like that! And Enzo just looks like a badass dog :)
ReplyDeleteEnzo rocks! Have you ever read that book?
DeleteI think I have Smoke City on my Goodreads tbr. I need to check because I wanted to read it. I love the cover of The Art of Racing in the Rain. 📚
ReplyDeleteIt's a very odd read, but one of the few magical realism books I've enjoyed. I have 2 copies of Racing in the Rain because I had to have that cover!
DeleteYou got me with Peter O'Drool. LOL I should have known you would have humans and pets:) How fun!
ReplyDeleteOf course I would :)
DeleteThese names are great! I am always drawn to pet names. Peter O'Drool is simply adorable :)
ReplyDeletePet names are just so creative.
DeleteHaha, pets! That's definitely an easier list, because you can get so much more creative!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Yep I totally agree.
DeleteAaaah Bones. Yes.
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember him well too.
DeleteI like the dog names you picked for the list. Most books I read are normal people in apocalypses or in horror situations so I don't pay much attention to names!
ReplyDeleteYea, a lot of times I can read and love a book and still not remember names. Now pets, I remember those:)
DeleteWhat a list!! Alex and I totally brainstorm future dog names, even though a dog won't be able to join our home until we move out of our townhouse... So far we've settled on Zero and Kupo. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally like Zero and Kupo. I want 2 boxers puppies at the same time (something we've never done - 2 dogs at once) and I'd love to name them Bowie and Barlow. My husband isn't buying it :)
DeleteOh hello Bones. <3 Great list.
