So September has arrived in full force. And we are having close to 100 degree temps. What is up with that?
So Booker T is doing great and wants me to thank all of his fans and friends for all the kind thoughts and prayers. Between you and me, I don't know if he even knows he had surgery. His AWESOME vet did the procedure so quickly and then us take him home to recover so he was really only there 1 1/2 hours. He hasn't bothered his stitches once for which I am grateful. Like I said, I think he's oblivious.
We watched a decent movie last weekend. "The Summer of '84." It was a thriller and had a bunch of kids trying to figure out a serial killer in their neighborhood. Had strong "Stranger Things" and "IT" vibes. Speaking of King, "Castle Rock" finishes up this week. I hope they cram a whole lot of answers into that last hour because I'm super confused.
I honestly haven't been reading a lot this week. A tad here and there. It's supposed to rain most of the weekend and I hope it a lazy drizzle and not a downpour but either way I plan on staying inside with movies, football and books. I think I can finish "Giant Days" tonight and will then concentrate on the short story collection and probably start "The Moor."
Finally, I started an Instagram account. It's kind of a "blogstagram" because it focuses on, yep you guessed it, books and dogs! Feel free to follow me and let me know if any of you have accounts I need to look up as well. I'm still a newbie at it but I'm trying. Here's a LINK.
So what are your plans for this weekend and upcoming week???
I've been following Booker T on Instagram! Such a celebrity! Adorable! II'm so happy to hear he's doing great! Enjoy your movies, football and books binging!
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice rainy weekend - good for staying inside reading and watching football.
DeleteGlad your pup is doing well. I am looking forward to football and reading too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo. Yep, he seems to be fully recovered from surgery. Just has to get his stitches removed.
DeleteGlad your boy has done so well - i'm sure we over worry and feel it much more than they do. The Moor - I fancy the look of that one - look forward to your review.
ReplyDeleteI am about 30% into The Moor. The only thing is the cover reminds me of The Hunger, and we all know how I felt about that.
DeleteI'm hoping to start reading The Moor next week. Awesome news about Booker T!
ReplyDeleteWe tend to read so many of the same books :) Hope we both love it.
DeleteGood to know Booker T is recovering well! Our dogs are fixed and they took to recovery well afterwards too, though I think they said it is easier for puppies.

He was 8 which is why we were so worried but he's a trooper.
DeleteGreat to hear Booker T is doing so well...such a relief for you and Mr Barb! I'm not on Instagram so sadly I won't see your new account! I just don't have time for any more stuff online! I think I've watched too many confusing series on TV as it is ie Twin Peaks back in the day...so I think I might give Castle Rock a miss!
ReplyDeleteI fought it as long as I could but I totally understand why you don't add it. I think if I post once a week I'll be doing good.
DeleteWhat a relief that Booker T is done with surgery and recovering. Glad that's over, right? For once in my life I'm actually reading faster than I can write reviews, so I have three I need to work on this weekend. And I need to figure out what to start reading next, which is hard because I have so many September review books!
ReplyDeleteYea for reading fast. I bet it helps keep your mind off the kids going to college huh? How exciting but how sad huh?
DeleteSo glad to hear that Booker T is doing so well after his surgery. Dogs are just so precious. One of my sister's labs died at home yesterday so my pups are getting a whole lot of extra loving this weekend. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you sister lost her lab. Give your pups kisses from me.
DeleteI'm so glad Booker T is doing awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen!
