TTT - Settings I'd Like to See More Of

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to ThatArtsyReaderGirl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is settings I'd like to see more of when reading.  I don't have many ideas for this one so let's see if we can come up with at least three.

Snowed in places - It's no secret I love snow in books (though not as much in real life).  I love it when the plots take place in isolated, snowy locales and honestly can't get enough of them.

Spooky castles - The locations can be so eerie and atmospheric and I'd love to see more books take place in these types of manors.

New Orleans - Though I've never been to New Orleans, I think it provides a perfect backdrop for a multitude of genres.

So there you have it.  It's the best I can do.  I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with for this one!

  1. Yes to snowed in places for horror, apocalypse and scary thrillers! There is just something silent and deadly about snow. It's a favourite thing for me! I've read a ton of stuff set in New Orleans over the years!

    2. That's because I love to read about different countries and have a list already. LOL.
Finding any other settings would have been too much thinking for me. ;)
But I love how we all had different ideas and that way we get to talk more about books.
      Thanks for your post.

  5. These are all great settings. I particularly love New Orleans as a setting too. I think it all goes back to Anne Rice and Interview With the Vampire😁

  8. You can have all the snowed in places, ha ha, although they might be a good thing to read when the temps are in the three digits! ⛄

  11. Yup, snowy settings will do it for me every time. I don't know what it is about a horror or thriller set in a wintry place, it just makes me want to read it!

    1. I think because it makes a bad or scary situation seem that much more desolate.

  14. I would genuinely love to visit New Orleans some day -- though I am also aware that what i have built up in my head might not be the reality. But still -- one day!
