This week's topic is characters I'd love to be best friends with. Most of these are from books but of course I have to throw in one or two surprises.
Winnie the Pooh
Or really anyone from the Hundred Acre Wood - except Rabbit because he would make me too nervous. And maybe Owl - no one likes a know-it-all.
Veronica Speedwell
She's so smart and spunky and such a pioneer given the time period. I think hanging with her would be a blast!
Jo
The rest of the clan would drive me nuts but I have always loved Jo.
Lindsey Norris
What book blogger wouldn't want a librarian for a best friend???
Mercy Thompson
I'm totally being selfish but I could seriously use a bestie who is also a mechanic.
Jen Dixon
She is all kinds of snarky and sarcastic and I loved her when I read this book.
Jack the Dog
Jack is so fun and helpful and he's everyone's best friend so he could be mine as well.
Snoopy
Do I even need to explain?
Kate Daniels
Being her best friend might be a tad dangerous but she also can kick butt and she's super loyal. Plus she has Curran on her side so that could be a BFF asset as well.
Lorelai Gilmore
She is my BFF soulmate!
So who made your list????
I absolutely love it when you add Pooh and/ or Snoopy to lists like these -- they're such a great reminder to me of how much I love them --- even though I forget to add them to lists like these!
ReplyDeleteThere's no way I could forget my childhood favorites.
DeleteSnoopy! I love him. And Lorelai! Great list.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI love your list. Winnie the Pooh is a particularly good choice.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Thanks Lydia!
DeleteAwww Winnie the Pooh, I would love hanging with that gang too😁
ReplyDeleteI know, Pooh never seemed to have a care in the world - except honey!
DeleteA friend who is a mechanic would certainly be useful! I'd like one with a winning lottery ticket so my dad can get his knee fixed!
ReplyDeleteI wish you Dad could get something to help him too. Poor guy!
Deletesnoopy....oh yeah!
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
He's such a character!
DeleteOh...Snoopy would totally make my list! I love him. I'd probably pick Eeyore over Pooh, though Pooh is awesome, too. Fun list! :D
ReplyDeleteEeyore is great too. I used to work with a guy who was a lot like Eeyore. In fact, that's what we called him.
DeleteI very much love Jo as well. Definitely the character I related to most.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the trailer for the new Little Women movie? I did for the first time this weekend. It looks pretty good.
DeleteTotally forgot about Jo and Mercy! Everyone needs a bestie who is a mechanic...lol. :)
ReplyDeleteHow true!
DeleteGreat list! I would love to be friends with Winnie the Pooh too!
ReplyDeleteMy My TTT
Seems like he would have a lot of friends!
DeleteYay for the Winnie the Pooh crowd! Haha although yeah Rabbit might be a little uptight. :)
ReplyDeleteSnoopy!!! Yay!
Just a tad!
DeleteVeronica Speedwell - one of my close friends would be so happy to see her on the list. I totally agree about rabbit and owl. I really don't like owl though - he feels like he would just lecture you about everything lol
ReplyDeletewww.tbrandbeyond.com
Yes he would!
DeleteHaha, I love your reasoning for Mercy Thompson! Having a coyote shifting friend would be pretty cool, but yeah it'd also be handy knowing someone who can do work on my car, lol!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Yea, a coyote who knows her way around a garage would be awesome.
DeleteJo was definitely my favourite March sister as well! Great picks!
ReplyDeleteI will always think she's the best.
DeleteI also like your reasoning behind Mercy - she was on my list too.
ReplyDeleteand Pooh!
Lynn :D
One can never have too many good mechanics.
DeleteLorelai Gilmore would be an amazing best friend! And of course Snoopy and Winnie the Pooh, love that you included them!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteJo is my favorite, too! 💟
ReplyDeleteNot surprising :)
