So I'm doing things a tad bit differently this year and will be combining all of my regular weekend posts. This will enable me to add more content on Fridays and it is just starting to make more sense. I'll still be linking up with Stacking the Shelves at Tynga's Reviews and Sunday Post at Caffeinated Reviewer. Both blogs are awesome so make sure you check them out.
So it's been an okay week. Hey, at least we're all healthy. I took my Gpa to his little hometown reunion Sunday. It wasn't bad but it was 2 hours on the road each way and we were so far in the sticks that there wasn't even cell service. I also finally gave up and towed my truck to a garage. Not the result I wanted but hey, gotta have wheels. Mr. Barb drives the newer vehicle and there's no way we're taking on another car payment.
We managed to watch Avengers: Endgame this week. It was really good but I did manage to cry. I also have to say Rocket the Raccoon is still awesome. I also started watching BH90201 - it will have to go into the guilty pleasure category. It is rather humorous.
So I got some reading done but not enough. Here's what's up on the stack this coming week.
I also really only added a book or two this week so I think I'll just call this a wrap and add them next week.
So have you done anything fun or read anything I just have to add to my stack???
Sorry to hear about your rough week and that you didn't get to read as much as you'd like, hopefully you'll have a nice and relaxing weekend. I still have to watch Endgame myself, though there are still a few movies I need to catch up with before I do, including Captain Marvel and Black Panther.
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I have seen Black Panther and Captain Marvel and can honestly say having done so didn't add a while lot to Endgame. I'd say you could go out of order if you wanted.
DeleteCurrently reading the 11th book in the Mercy Thompson series - Storm Cursed. Enjoying it so far.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
I really really need to catch up on that series.
DeleteI think I need a good night's sleep and a 5 star book to cheer me up! Stupid internet was down for four hours this morning so I'm racing to catch up!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be having all kinds of internet trouble this summer. Is it a new carrier or has it been unreliable all along?
DeleteI keep meaning to check out BH90210 but I forget when it's on. I watched the original show religiously and it's cool that they all came back for the remake! But yeah, guilty pleasureπ
ReplyDeleteIt's on Wednesday nights at 9:00pm. I've been recording it because I find I have a hard time watching anything now that I can't fast forward through the commercials on. I think you can also catch it on Hulu.
DeleteI sobbed through probably like half of Endgame!
ReplyDeleteIt was so sad - especially for a superhero movie!
DeleteI'm thinking of trying the Harkness series based on the books- it sounds good? And I hear you on wheels- I just had a big expensive repair on one of ours too- everything's so expensive now!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend!
Yes, you need to read it. I am finally finished with the trilogy and loved it so much more than I thought I might. I read all three in three months so that's saying something!
DeleteWell not a bad week. I like the books for this week. I want to reread the Harkness books and do audio this time. I hope this week is easier and you enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I bet they would be interesting on audio. Have you watched any of the series?
DeleteAw, that's so sweet of you to make the trip for Grandpa's reunion. We are in the same situation down to one running vehicle. We are going to need to get it to a mechanic because we really would rather not buy a new one either.
ReplyDeleteIt stinks doesn't it?
DeleteI can't wait to see the new Avengers movie. So many people have warned me to have tissues close by. LOL
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree!
DeleteMagic Rises!! I love the Kate Daniels series. I think I'm on #8?I need to get back to those. The next book in their Hidden Legacy series comes out this month, and I'm really looking forward to it as well. :)
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? π¬
We took a month or so off from buddy reading them so I'm excited to get back to them.
DeleteI found a comic called Beasts of Burden, about a pack of dogs that fight evil paranormal forces, on Hoopla. It looks fantastic, but Hoopla has the Animal Rights volume which is issues #1-4 and Wise Dogs and Eldritch Men which is issues #7-12. Goodreads is only showing two volumes, too, so I am hoping the issues in between are standalones. There is one in between issue that has Hellboy in it. π
ReplyDeleteSo great that you took grampa to is reunion. πππ
Have a wonderful week with no more vehicle troubles. π
I am off to check out that series and hopefully I can pick up the truck today.
DeleteSorry to hear about your car problems. Your books look great. I hope you enjoy them and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne. Hope you have a great one too!
