This week's topic is books that need to be adapted to Netflix series or movies. That should be easy enough. Let's go!
Hunter Shea's Slash is just begging for a summer slasher adaptation!
I think the world needs more Christmas horror to combat all the feel-good Hallmark movies (not that there's anything wrong with them). If you've read this one, don't you agree that Snowball is a great starting point?
How about an urban fantasy series based on the Kate Daniels series? There are plenty of tales to work with in this wonderful series.
See, I can do feel-good movies too. A Dog Called Jack is a great small-town tale with wonderful cast of characters.
Maybe wanting to see Bunny adapted to a movie is a tad selfish because I'm hoping it might make more sense if I could only SEE all the weirdness happening.
What's a top ten list without Hollow Kingdom showing up somewhere? Someone please, please, please adapt this!
Violet would make a great thriller movie!
V.M. Burns' Dog Club Mystery series would make such a great movie franchise for Netflix. I mean, we need more dogs right?
A Wayward Children series anyone? Come to think of this, I think someone is already adapting this one but I forget who it is.
Netflix loves to adapt YA books so why is there no Undead Girl Gang series already?
So this was a lot of fun. Do you think any of these would make great adaptations? I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with this week.
Snowball sounds like it would be fabulous. And honestly- I haven't read Hunter Shea but from what I've seen his stuff looks like it would be great for an adaptation!
ReplyDeleteIt would. His books tend to be very action-packed!
DeleteOh yes, great list - some of these would make amazing series. I would love Hollow Kingdom to be adapted.

I wish we would get a sequel except I would miss a certain fella. Didn't he have a girlfriend in the book toward the end? Maybe there might be puppies!
DeleteOh man, Hollow Kingdom for sure! I would love to watch that! Haaaa, Snowball is the anti-Christmas movie, but you're right it would balance out the Hallmark onesaround. I though for sure something from Stephen King or a bio of Prince would be on your list too!
ReplyDeleteWell, almost everything King does is adapted sooner or later and well, no one can play Prince so I fear I'd hate any adaptation centering on him.
DeleteI would be worried that Hollow Kingdom would turn into a lame animated movie, so I'm not sure about that one, as much as I love it.
ReplyDeleteYou have a point. Maybe it would need someone like Burton or Del Torro to do it right.
DeleteThose Ilona Andrews books would make for an awesome TV series! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of surprised someone hasn't picked them up yet.
DeleteA Dog Called Jack sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy post .

Netflix goes through periods of hit or miss.
DeleteI second a Wayward Children series!
ReplyDeleteI do think someone is making one but I can't remember who!
DeleteI’ve not read Violet yet, its on my kindle, I’m glad to hear it’s a good thriller!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you love it. It was one of my favorite books of last year.
DeleteOh my goodness, a mystery series featuring dogs would be THE DREAM.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Someone needs to do it now!
DeleteUndead Girl Gang would be so much fun to see!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ Always Me
It would be so much fun.
DeleteI've still to read Slash, Snowball and Hollow Kingdom but I'm excited about them!
ReplyDeleteI do think you'll love them - or at least enjoy them.
DeleteOMG YES! Snowball would be AMAZING as an adaptation! I'd also be up for any Hunter Shea adaption :)
ReplyDeleteI can't help but feel a tad twisted that I consider Snowball a Christmas read and recommend it to everyone!
DeleteHollow Kingdom for sure! 👍👍👍✨
