This week is a cover freebie and I'm sure we've all bought books (or added them to the TBR/wishlish) because of beautiful covers but deep down suspect we'll probably never read them. Well, if you're like me, then this week is for you!
I'm not sure if I like reading about dragons, or like the IDEA of reading about dragons. Either way, I do own this and yep, it was a cover grab.
So simple and yet so stunning.
There's still hope I'll read this one because I d like the idea of a Spider King domain.
This is on my Overdrive wishlist but I couldn't even tell you what's it about if I'm being honest.
So pretty.
I'm fairly sure this went on the wishlist because she reminded me of Stevie Nicks.
Nope, I'm never going to read it despite it being purple.
This entire series has awesome covers! I'd love to own them all despite being hesitant to read them.
I'm pretty sure I have no interest in this book, but man, what a great cover!
Isn't this just gorgeous?
So there you have it. You're job, if you choose to accept it, is to tell me which ones I actually need to read!
Great idea! And very funny because two of these I've read and didn't enjoy: The Gossamer Mage and Her Silhouette Drawn in Water😁
ReplyDeletei am a sucker for covers

I have the first and last ones on your list but haven't read any of them. There are some nice covers there. Sometimes with fantasy, which many of these seem to be, I need to do audio to ease me into the world.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart
These are some great covers! I especially like that first one with the dragon. :D
ReplyDeletePrior of the Orange tree was a beast, slow to start, really good in the middle, with a disappointing ending. 😛
ReplyDeleteHaha, those are all books with cool covers but yeah I don't even know over half of them...lol.
ReplyDeleteI've spotted some of those, too, and thought they were beautiful. But the cover's job is to get you past it and into the book with some idea where you're going. So maybe on one level or another, beautiful as they are, for you they failed.
ReplyDeleteThe cover of The Priory of the Orange Tree is totally gorgeous, but I don't think I'll ever read that!
ReplyDeleteHeh, I've definitely done that, too! You're not alone. :)
ReplyDeleteMy post .
Baaarb! I feel like it's been forever, but for some reason, I stopped getting email notifications of your posts. o.0 So I signed up again. Because this seems to happen to me from time to time for some reason. xD
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love your theme this week and can so relate to this, haha. Priory of the Orange Tree has an absolutely gorgeous cover, but I thought it was kind of a meh read. I totally recommend Forest of Souls, though! It was a great read.
Is it bad that I totally added Shotgun Arcana to my TBR previously, too, because of how awesome the covers are? xD I agree that the entire series looks fantastic, and I kind of want to own them just because they're stunning, but also that's a horrible reason to want to own a book. What can I say?
A cover grab freebie — he he, you are so right, I have a couple that belong on the list! I can’t believe I missed a new RS BElcher book though!
ReplyDeleteI have a few beautiful books on my wish list that I’ll probably never read. I will read All The Crooked Saints though. I actually own that one. It’s just not high on the priority list.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I must admit that I need to really like the sound of a book before I buy it, even if a gorgeous book cover tries to tempt me!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a sucker for covers and there are a few on here that I long to read based solely on the covers - but probably won't get to.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
I'm really not at all into fantasy novels, but man do I love YA fantasy covers. I was just tweeting about this a couple of days ago. Lol
