So once again I'm going to try to make this a regular feature. I got really bad about updating at the end of 2020. Hopefully I'll get better at checking in regularly. As always, I'm linking up with Stacking the Shelves at Tynga's Reviews and The Sunday Post at The Caffeinated Reviewer.
So this week was pretty uneventful which is good. The job I interviewed contacted me wanting permission to contact my references so I should hear something definitive on Tuesday. Thank all of you for your well-wishes last week.
The boys are doing well. Since we've not had a really bad winter yet, they are still getting out quite a bit. Cass hasn't seen his girlfriend lately though so I'm sure he's bummed.
There haven't been a lot of decent movies to stream lately but we did watch "The Empty Man." It was almost 2 1/2 hours long and it really dragged at times. I think it was based on a graphic novel so maybe I should check that out - or maybe not.
I've been reading some good books and hope to catch up on some reviews next week. I also have an exciting blog tour stop for Tuesday and if you like Gothic horror, be sure to stop by. Several of my Netgalley requests have come through lately so here's a few I'm really excited to read.
As you can see, lots of good books. I am a tad nervous about All's Well because if you recall, Bunny didn't sit well with me. However, I'm willing to give her another go. And I'm on a blog tour for When Harry Met Minnie in February which will be great for "They Call It Puppy Love" month!
So I hope you all had a great week and what books did you add to your shelves?
I am so excited for The Minders. The last two books I've read by Marrs have been great so I have high expectations for this as well. And the fact you are on the references stage is a fantastic sign. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteI started reading a new big hardback book last night and this *could* be my first five star read of the year! It's a new behind the scenes for GoT and I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteI've got everything crossed for you for news of the job this coming week. It's time you had something good in your working life!

We got some of the same books, The Minders and Dead Space. I didn't know Mona Awad had another book coming out, although I still need to read Bunny. Have a good week, Barb!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed about the job! And I hope you have a good week. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of When Harry Met Minnie and I am looking forward to it. Good luck with the job! I have applied to several and had some phone interviews but that is as far as I have made it. I hope you have a great week, Barb!
ReplyDeleteUneventful is a blessing in these crazy times. Good luck with the new position. I've been reading a K9 FBI series by Sara Driscoll and loving it. Enjoy your new reads.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Yes, lots of good books! I'm ready to get back to the scary ones. LOL
ReplyDeleteWahoo!! Fingers crossed for the job!! I'm so far behind on my blog hopping again, so my belated wishes of good luck! :) I'm so grateful the winter has been pretty mild. I'm so not a fan of the snow. I hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you've now heard about the job and it's all good.
ReplyDeleteThat would be amazing.
Lynn :D
I hope the final leg of the job process is a success! 👏👏👏✨
ReplyDeleteYour Netgalley books look really good. I love the Dead Cat Run cover! We had a show kennel when I was growing up and we had Irish Setters. They still have a warm spot in my heart. 💕
I hope you have been having a great week. 🌞
