This week we are looking at villains so I thought I would share some of my favorite ones with you!
Algaliarept "Al" from The Hollows series. There something very likable about this demon despite his demonic ways.
Eve Levine from the Women of the Underworld series. Eve's a combination half demon and witch and while not a nice person, I found myself liking her.
Pam Ravenscroft from the Sookie Stackhouse series. Some might argue that Pam is not a villain but I would argue she's just a villain with a soft-side...and a taste for blood and carnage.
Snape - Enough said. And I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of him on today's topic.
Dracula - He started my love affair with vampires at a very young age.
Jack Torrence - Jack does evil so well!!!
The Big Bad Wolf - Come on, argue with me on this one...I dare ya :)
Pennywise
Brady - I've not read the books but he's an awesome villain on the TV series.
Atl - she rocks. Have you not read this yet??? You all KNOW I love this book!!!!
So there you have it. Some villains I love and some I love to hate. Who made your list?
Snape! Gosh I didn't even think of him, but you're right, he's probably on a heap of lsits. And OMG Pennywise (shivers)
ReplyDeleteThe new Pennywise is so much creepier than the older one and I didn't even think that was possible.
DeleteMy son and I were talking about favorite villains last night. We both said Snape! LOL
ReplyDeleteHow cool - great minds huh?
DeleteAwe I love Pam! She was certainly an interesting villain with lots of shades of gray😁
ReplyDeleteYes and she will forever be ingrained in my mind as the actress they cast her with in the series - she was perfect.
DeleteI figured Pennywise would make some lists. He definitely made mine! Stephen King has such great villains doesn't he. I am on the fence about Snape being a bad guy. He was definitely a jerk and selfish but did save Harry's life on many occasions. I picked Umbridge. She was pure evil.
ReplyDeleteYea, he definitely was a gray character. I liked him but I think in the beginning he was definitely portrayed as more evil than not.
DeleteGreat villains!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAWESOME list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Erica.
DeleteSnape is a pretty solid pick! Only one I know but clearly a huge one I can't believe I didn't think of him.
ReplyDeleteOooh Pennywise - great villain. And it's perfect because I hate clowns, lol.
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Yes, the creep me out as well.
DeleteDracula kinda freaked me out when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteI can see why!
DeleteYeah, villains, love 'em.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
Books often need a good villain to be so good.
DeleteIsn't it funny how some characters can be terrible, or in this case demonic, yet still likeable? I haven't read most of these, but yay Dracula! And I love that you included the Big Bad Wolf, haha. I won't argue, seems like a great choice to me!
ReplyDeleteI think it's awesome when we find a villain to love.
DeleteI agree with you about Eve-horrible person when alive but great strong female character afterwards! Pam was a brilliant character, one of my favourite ever vampires! Yes of course to Snape and Pennywise!
ReplyDeleteI really miss the Women of the Underworld tales. Such a good series.
DeleteI’m excited to read Mr. Mercedes. I think that’s the next King book I’m going to read. Snape has been on a lot of lists this week. I guess that makes sense. He’s iconic.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I really need to pick up that trilogy as well!
DeleteYay for Atl! I love all the different kind of vampires in Certain Dark Things. Wouldn't mind revisiting that world.
ReplyDeleteIt remains one of my favorite vampire books ever - that and Suicide Motor Club.
DeleteOh Pam. I loved her! Good choice :)
