August Down for the Count!

I'm not even going to apologize for this being late because to be honest, I don't see five days into the month all that bad.  August was an odd reading month.  I feel like I read a lot more than I did but I also think that's because most of the reads were fairly lengthy.  So let's take a look!

Hollow Kingdom - Kira Jane Buxton (5/5)
(What an Animal)

The Deaths and Afterlife of Aleister Crowley - Ian Thorton (2/5)

The Original Adventures of Hank the Cowdog - John R. Erickson (3/5)
(Library Lovers, Cloak & Dagger, What an Animal)

The Book of Life (All Soul's Trilogy #3) - Deborah Harkness (5/5)
(Dance into Fantasy)

A Killing Fire - Faye Snowden (4/5)
(Cloak & Dagger)

What's Bred in the Bone (XK9 Trilogy #1) - Jan S. Gephardt (5/5)
(What an Animal, Cloak & Dagger)

Atomic Frenchie Vol. 2 - Tom Sniegoski, Tom McWeeney (5/5)
(What an Animal)

Magic Rises (Kate Daniels #6) - Ilona Andrews (5/5)
(What an Animal, Dance into Fantasy, Library Lovers)

So at least I managed quite a few 5 paw ratings this month.  Hands down I think my favorite was "Hollow Kingdom."  My least favorite had to be my only 2 paw read - The Death and Afterlife of Aleister Crowley.

TOTAL PAGES: 2,724

How was your August???

  2. August was decent enough for me and towards the end I got a few really good books done. I've had a decent start to September with a few DNFs and two solid reads! Here's hoping that this month proves good for both of us!

    1. I've tried to start strong with September so let's hope it continues. I get a lot of reading done while football is on so hopefully that helps.

  6. I don't do my wrap-ups until the first Saturday of the month, so mine was on the late side, too. 😇
