Can't Wait Wednesday (226) - Cass is Full-Time!

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books.  It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

So the public has spoken - Cass is now a full-time contributor to Can't Wait Wednesday.  That means each week you'll see two books here. Of course Cass is already lobbying for an increase in salary (at least he works for treats - and bandanas).

FROM GOODREADS: Supernatural meets Stranger Things in award-winning author S. A. Hunt’s Burn the Dark, first in the Malus Domestica horror action-adventure series about a punk YouTuber on a mission to bring down witches, one vid at a time.

Robin is a YouTube celebrity gone-viral with her intensely-realistic witch hunter series. But even her millions of followers don't know the truth: her series isn’t fiction.

Her ultimate goal is to seek revenge against the coven of witches who wronged her mother long ago. Returning home to the rural town of Blackfield, Robin meets friends new and old on her quest for justice. But then, a mysterious threat known as the Red Lord interferes with her plans….

WHY I CAN'T WAIT:  Supernatural meets Stranger Things...need I say more?  In case I do, um, witches.

CASSIUS'S PICK:

FROM GOODREADS:  My crazy old Nan loves making decisions on a whim. Last week, she took up flamenco dancing. This week, she’s adopted a trouble-making Chihuahua named Paisley. This wouldn’t be much of a problem, were it not for the very crabby tabby who also lives with us.

Man, I never thought I’d miss hearing Octo-Cat’s voice, but his silent protest is becoming too much to bear, especially since we just opened our new P.I. business together.

Things go from bad to worse, of course, when Nan and I discover that someone has been embezzling funds from the local animal shelter. If we can’t find the culprit soon, the shelter may not be able to keep its lights on and those poor homeless pets won’t have anywhere to go.

Okay, so I just need to find the thief, rescue the animals, and save the day—all while trying to find a way for Octo-Cat and Paisley to set aside their differences and work together as a team. Yeah, wish me luck…

WHY CASS CAN'T WAIT:  So I know Mom has a couple from this series already and I always prefer when they have a dog on them vs a cat.  Also, there is a chihuahua down the street driving me crazy.  It's irresponsible owner lets it out on its own and it hides until I walk down the street and then when I've passed, it jumps out and barks at me.  While I'm glad he hasn't been flattened yet (please don't let that happen), he is rather annoying!!!  Maybe this book will give me and Mom some tips.

So what book can't you wait for this week????

  1. Look at the cuteness that is Paisley! That looks adorable, Cass! And Barb, just at the last episode of Stranger Things season 3-- and yes, I am here for a supernatural/ Strange things title!
