What's Happening (03-14-20)...

So I'm doing things a tad bit differently this year and will be combining all of my regular weekend posts.  This will enable me to add more content on Fridays and it is just starting to make more sense.  I'll still be linking up with Stacking the Shelves at Tynga's Reviews and Sunday Post at Caffeinated Reviewer.  Both blogs are awesome so make sure you check them out.

So let's get the elephant in the room out of the way.  Everyone at Booker T's Farm is feeling fine for now but are being very cautious in the wake of the coronavirus spread in the US.  I could rant about things and how it's being handled but I want this to be my happy place.  I do hope all my visitors are okay as well.

So we have managed to watch a few new movies this week.  And it seems like we will be watching a lot more since all major sports are practically canceled.  We watched "Gemini Man" with Will Smith one night on a whim and I found I actually really liked it. I don't know now why we put it off so long. We also watched "Jumanji: The Next Level" and it was as good as I thought it would be.  "Kingdom" starts back on Netflix this weekend so at least that will give us something to binge.

Reading has been pretty good as well.  I'm about 50% into Eight Perfect Murders and 10% into Blackwood.  Both are pretty good but Blackwood hasn't really picked up yet.  I also hope to pick up the next Longmire book soon.

Finally I'll leave you with a few pictures of the pups.  Here's Apollo and his infamous skateboard

And here is Cassius looking on wondering what his brother is trying to do.

So I hope everyone is having a great weekend and stay safe my friends!

  1. Glad you and the family are doing okay! I already work from home so no break for me unfortunately, but my kids are off for two weeks so I'm sure there will be a ton of Netflix streaming around here as well to keep them busy! Nice pics of the pups, btw...Apollo is growing so fast!

    1. Yes the pups grow so fast! So will your kids be headed back in two weeks or has it already been extended? In our state, they are seriously looking at until the end of the school year.

  2. Glad everyone is well at your place. At least people who read and blog don't have to worry about being bored during this epidemic, where as some of my friends who don't read are complaining about all the shut downs. My happy place is sqirreled away at home anyway!

    1. I know. We can actually thrive and still be active without going anywhere right?

  3. I think a lot of this is blown out of proportion but I also think it doesn't hurt to be prepared, we should always have a good stock of things in case something happens. Hope you guys stay safe!

    Hope you enjoy your books!

  5. Apollo is growing isn't he! I'm not too sure about Mr Barb's skateboarding plan! I also agree that Cass has beautiful colouring. I do have a soft spot for your boys! The virus is getting me anxious over my supplies, our health, when do we stop going out, all of my overseas friends health...ugh I'm a big wad of anxiety right now!

    1. I didn't expect to like Gemini Man as much as I did. I know I've seen the original some time ago and didn't care much for it.

  13. Gemini Man was different, but it was a Will Smith movie so I enjoyed that. Jumanji next level is on my list too -- the Rock remains hilarious! I'm glad you guys and the pups are doing well. THe crazy is just getting to be too much. In other news, what is a reverse brindle?

    1. Yes, it also helped that it was Will Smith. Instead of being fawn with darker "stripes" or stippling, reverse brindles are dark brown, almost black, with fawn stripes.
