So, I wanted to do a quick update so I wouldn't forget anything. Thanksgiving came and went, and wouldn't you know, I ended up getting sick the day before. In fact, I'm still not completely over it. This is hands down the worst cold/sinus infection I've had since I had covid over two years ago. It was probably a good thing I was off already because there was no way I could have worked through it.
I did manage to read 8 books/novellas for the HoHoHo Readathon. I was pleased with the total but wished I could have participated more. Anyway, look for some Christmas reviews this month as I have plenty to spare.
This past weekend was football central. Marshall became the Sunbelt Conference champs and Georgia won the SEC Championship so all in all it was a great outcome for our household. Now to wait for the bowl games. I can't believe college season is already over.
I am currently trying to cram as many Christmas reads as possible in amongst my buddy reads. Here is what I'm currently reading, although I did finish I'll Be Home for Mischief late yesterday.
Ah, I hope you get to feeling better! Yay for 8 reads! I'm doing Christmas listens, and then trying to read as many physical books off my TBR shelves while I have no review books scheduled the next week or two.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your seasonal reading. Hope you are well soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you are doing better.
ReplyDeleteThat darn cold! Hope you get better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you got sick and hope you'll feel much better very soon. I'm enjoying reading a real variety of stuff but pretty soon I'll jump onto 2025 ARCs to be a bit ahead.

A cold/sinus infection sure is no fun. Yes Holly from J Frost's books can be a bit too bit sticky beak into various murders. She seems to have a death wish! However they are an entertaining listen. It will take awhile before I get to #5.
ReplyDeleteAw, sorry you were sick so badly! At least it was before Christmas, right? I'm guessing you like to celebrate it, given the amount of your seasonable reads 😉.
ReplyDeleteI hope by now you're feeling better. Getting sick over a holiday is the worst!
