Summer of Horror - Here Kitty Kitty

 

I am participating in an informal event created by my friend Tammy over at Books, Bones & Buffy and she is doing a book cover love feature. This week I am focusing on horror books with animals on the cover.  I got this idea off of Alicia over at Kernel of Nonsense.  Thanks for the inspiration.  Also, I've not read any of these and wanted to showcase some lesser known titles that have caught my attention over the years.  Maybe this will make me pick some up.

I know that When the Wolf Comes Home and Blood on her Tongue are pretty recent and popular titles and I already have copies on my shelves thanks to my Aardvark Book Box Subscription.

I believe The Island of Last Things recently came out and I'm hoping my library gets a copy soon.  The other three are Kindle Unlimited finds I've discovered this past year. 

Finally, I recently saw The Nestling on a Booktube video and really would like to read it soon.  It centers around an Indigenous legend and I love those types of books. 

So do you have any animal horror I need to check out.  Extra points if the dog doesn't die.
