Stacking the Shelves (7)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!  The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. I don't think I actually bought any books this week which is a nice change.  However, I don't think that trend will last long.  This week will include a library haul from 2 weeks ago which I never got around to posting and galleys.

From the library:

A Hundred Pieces of Me: Lucy Dillon - I have already read this and posted my review.  I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!  Ms. Dillon even sent me a tweet commenting on Booker T's review.  I am thrilled.

Housewitch (A Novel): Katie Schickel - I have finished this one too although the review is not finished.
Sick: Tom Leveen - Have seen this described as "good old zombie fun" so I figured why not give it a try.

The Rabbit Back Literature Society: Pasi Ilmari Jaaskelainen - This one sounds odd and well, sometimes odd is good.
There Will Be Lies: Nick Lake - Need to find out why people who received advanced reader copies got a moose keychain in their packets.  It's a strange reason to check out a book huh?

Advanced copies:

Shadow Shadow Black Dog Mystery Forsaken Things We Have in Common
When We Were Animals Church of Marvels Southern Fried Wiccan Spirits, Stilettos
Chimera Dreams California

Shadow Shadow: V.B. Marlowe - This was released on 2/16/15 but I just received it and hope to get to it in the next few months.  Thanks All Night Reads!
The Black Mystery Dog: Ellery Queen Jr. - Released 3/10/15.  Thanks Open Road Integrated Media (And isn't that dog shadow the cutest!)
Forsaken (Shadow Cove Saga #1): J.D. Barker - Releases 5/1/15 and has comparisons to Saul, Koontz and King.  Those are some mighty big shoes to fill.  Thanks Hampton Creek Press!  I think this one sounds really good.
Things We Have in Common: Tasha Kavanagh - Releases 5/7/15.  Thanks Conogate Books!
When We Were Animals: Joshua Gaylord.  ReIeases 4/21/15.  I have seen a few good things about this one and can't wait to read it.  Thanks Mulholland Books!
Church of Marvels: Leslis Parry - Releases 6/4/15.  I think the cover is beautiful.  Thanks John Murray Press.
Southern Fried Wiccan: S.P. Sipal - Releases 3/24/15 but I just got it.  Hope to get to it in early April.  Thanks BookFish Books!
Spirits, Stilettos and a Silver Bustier: Deanna Chase - Releases 3/16/15.  Started this one Wednesday and hope to finish it this weekend.  I am finding myself on a witch kick and it looks like a quick read.  Thanks Bayou Moon Press!
Chimera (Weaver #1): Vaun Murphrey - Released 3/10/15.  Isn't that a beautiful cover?  Thanks Artemis Femm!
Dreams of Shreds and Tatters: Amanda Downum -Releases 5/12/15.  Thanks Rebellion!
The Hotel California: Donnie Light - Received from the author and it is out now.  May be dating myself but I love the Eagles and think it will be great to read a song tie-in.  Thanks Donnie!

Have you read any of these?  What did you get this week?  Leave a link so I can check out your stack.

  1. Some really great covers in your haul this week! Forsaken in particular is the kind of cover that will make me pick the book up so see what it's about. I had a week of witches, zombies, evil governments and vampires-what more could a girl ask for! Happy reading!
