Top 10 Tuesday - 10 Scary Books I WANTED to Read for Halloween

This top 10 weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and can be found HERE.  Each week they focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading. This week's topic is a Halloween freebie so I thought I would show you 10 books I wanted to read during the month of October, but didn't get to.  Needless to say, I may be continuing my horror binge into November.

Already borrowed it from Scribd...just need to read it!

Yep...it even made the October TBR pile - that's as far as it got.
No excuses.....
I read the first 5 pages.
Bought the day it was released...still sitting unopened on Kindle.
Want to read but still haven't purchased so maybe I won't feel too guilty.
Decided I needed to re-read the first one and I am horrible at re-reads! So technically this is 2 books!
Why??? Why???
Have wanted to read this since it was released
What's Halloween without some Stephen King?- guess I am gonna find out.
I do plan on moving After Alice, Night Music and Subterranean Season to the Nov/Dec piles but I honestly don't know when I will get to the rest.  Man, why do I have to work????  Can't wait to see everyone's lists this week!

  1. I've heard so many good things about Demon Road!

Check out my TTT and my Halloween Giveaway.

  2. Wow this is an interesting list. I've only heard of Cujo, though not have the joy of reading it yet. Need to get on some of these.

  3. Secondhand souls looks like a lot of fun :D hope you get to read some of them!

  4. I love Christopher Moore - I need to get that one! And I STILL need to read Something Wicked This Way Comes! Have to remember to get a copy of that! I loved some of Gregory Maguire's other books. Hope After Alice will be as good!

  5. I got accepted for Demon Road on NetGalley a few months back, but because of how long it is I haven't had time to read it - it's not a book I want to dip in and out of. I hadn't heard about Night Music, but I love John Connolly's writing so hopefully I'll enjoy it. Good list! :)

  6. Great list! Silver in the Blood really caught my eye and I will definitely have to check it out.

  7. I've listening to Silver in the Blood right now and it's going well. I haven't read any of the other books though. Good luck!

  8. I should have done this! I had such good intentions, but oh well!

  9. I have Silver in Blood on my tbd list too! I hope you enjoy the books over this coming month :) I don't do scary, I'm a total wuss! Books are so much more realistic that movies too.
    Have a great day,
    Amy x

  10. Work always gets in the way of reading! What's up with that?! lol ... This is the second time I saw After Alice mentioned today. I think that means I need to read it. :)

  11. Why can't reading be our work? ;)

Great list. I still have a lot of books I'd like to get to for Halloween as well, but not enough time. Lesigh. I've seen Silver in Blood around a lot. :)

  12. Wouldn't it be great to be able to read all day and never worry about the money. Enjoy these, I have only read Cujo but the others look scarily good!

  13. I am going to go with there was just not enough days in Oct. for all the books I wanted to read. :) There are a lot that I didn't get to that I wanted too and Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall is one of them!!!
