Stacking the Shelves (152)/Sunday Post

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. And it now has a new co-host where individuals can link up as well - Marlene from Reading Reality.  Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.  I'm also now linking up with the Sunday Post which is hosted by Kimberly@Caffeinated Book Reviewer

So I admit that I once again grabbed a few free books from Kindle.  But I definitely see a trend this week in that they all had really interesting tag lines or blurbs.  Just goes to prove sometimes it's all in the marketing.  First up is "KYMIERA:Purity" which states "The story of a teenage girl who's turning into an monster - literally." Who could resist that?  Then you have "Holes in the Ground" which teases "Some secrets have teeth."  Finally, "Grand Theft Octo" has TENTACLES so I had to grab it since it was free.

I bought a physical book at Walmart.  I had pretty much decided to grab it for my Kindle but when I saw it in person, I had to snatch it up - it's so pretty.

And last but not least, a few review copies.  First up is "Read Herring Hunt" which is the second of the Mystery Bookshop Series.  "The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle" is one I've been seeing around although I admit I am confused because in some countries it's "The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle."  And finally, "True Storm" is the last in a series I'm really enjoying.

Oh and I almost forgot, I had requested this from my library and it just came in Thursday -
"Pride and Prometheus."

So what did you add to your stacks this week????

    1. I don't know that I've heard anything bad about it but I don't have the best luck with overhyped books so I hope it's worth it!

  2. Ahhh, Children of Blood and Bone! Loved it -- and that cover. Whew. Gorgeous! I just found out about the 7 deaths of Evenlyn Hardcastle and I am half inclined to describe it as agatha christie meets time travel. It took me a minute to wrap my head around it.

But I've kept myself away from Netgalley! Holes in the Ground sounds like it will be amazing. I love Iain Rob Wright. That guy can scare me into sleeping with the light on! Great haul!
