So, it's time for all the year-ending lists so many of us love to complete and share. This year Chuckles, over at Chuckles Book Cave has created a Christmas Selection for each day of the month. I loved so of her ideas so much that I just had to participate on 4 or 5 select days. Just something extra for the month. Check out here original list HERE and join in on the fun!
BEST BOOK COVERS!
I read this in February as an arc. Even though this is not the cover of the one I read, it is my favorite edition.
This is rather simplistic but it definitely conveys the snowy, desolate setting of the novel.
So much to take in on this one but I love how it portrays the old west feel. Add in the horror elements and it's almost perfect!
I love black covers added with colors that pop. This one has to be one of the best horror covers of the year - and actually makes me miss Pearl.
The cover along with the title makes me smile every time I see it!
This series has some great covers but I do think this is my favorite of all. I love the look on Curran's face along with Kate's attire. She always dresses very practical for what she does and I love it!
One of my favorite reads of the year as well as favorite covers.
It's quite possible you will get sick of seeing this book pop up on so many of my lists this month. But what can I say? I loved it and it may take the top spot of best of the year. This book has ST, Dennis and even a purple octopus. What more could you want?
I really didn't like the book at all but the cover is awesome. Look at that little creepy eye staring at you. And as I had a library edition, the foil on the cover was actually "foilish." Look at me - I created a word!
I love the pentagram and the teddy bear - such contrast. I also really enjoy the 8-ball and those who have read the book definitely knows of its importance. Not always one for pastel colors but hey, there's purple so maybe that's why I'm giving this a pass and voting it as one of my best of the year.
If you're participating, make sure to let me know in the comments. And also make sure to hop over to Chuckles and visit one of my favorite bloggers!

I love a good art cover, and for me the cover to Hollow Kingdom was also a highlight (and it was a fabulous book as well) and I also like the one to Violet a lot, makes me want to check it out.

I am keeping my fingers crossed we get more S.T. in the future.
DeleteYour selection just made me smile from beginning to end -- My Pug is an Asshole -- naturally, that was top of my list of covers that gave me the giggles! I like what you said about the Babysitters Coven too -- you're right, the teddy and the pentagram are an odd mix, but they work!
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of good covers this year!
DeleteIt's great to have you taking part in a few of the posts! I have actually changed the order of my posts a bit from that original post but that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things! No Exit has been on my TBR for a couple of years now and I will get to that and Hollow Kingdom at some point!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to do a few more. You know I'll be doing the animal one too.
DeleteI love the cover of Dust Devils, I really need to read some Janz! And I bought a copy of Hollow Kingdom and I think it will be my next read. Can't wait😁
ReplyDeleteYes you do and I hope you love Hollow Kingdom!
DeleteSome cool covers!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteOMG, my pug is an asshole is killing me!
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard reading that one. The author writes a lot of horror which is how I stumbled on it - I think.
DeleteLove that cover of the pug! :)
ReplyDeletePugs always make for adorable covers.
Deletesome familiar books and some new ones for me. they are looking good and thanks for sharing

You're quite welcome!
DeleteI have to agree that these are great covers! Hollow Kingdom was an amazing book and I do love the green of the cover. The Josh Malerman cover is awesome even though I am not sure of the book. It is hard to believe that the end of 2019 is so close!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great cover. The Malerman book was odd, but thoroughly enjoyable.
DeleteI loved No Exit and the cover just makes me FEEL cold!
ReplyDeleteYes! I agree!
Deletehis was fun. I love unique or fun covers.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a cover buyer.
DeleteI think I requested the ARC of Hollow Kingdom back then just because of the cover :) And the cover Dust Devils is just SO GOOD! :) Tempting! :)
ReplyDeleteYou HAVE to read Hollow Kingdom. I do think you'll love it.
DeleteYes! The Hollow Kingdom cover is the best. I'm so happy I won a hardcover. 😀
ReplyDeleteMe too - and thanks again for the tote!
DeleteGreat post - I love that creepy cover with the eye watching - tbh, I hadn't noticed the eye peeping out but now I can't stop looking at it.
