Top Ten Tuesday - Latest Library Holds

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to ThatArtsyReaderGirl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week is a freebie topic and since the I'm looking for the US to shut down again soon and I figure I'll only be able to access my library through Overdrive or if I'm lucky, curbside pick-up again, I'll share what books I have on hold.  It was a fun topic last time and let's face it, it's easy and I'm all for easy right now.

This one kind of scares me since I didn't care for The Cabin at the End of World.  But hey I'll give it a shot.

I didn't read this author's first book but I know lots of people loved it so I'm anxious to try this one.

Dragons - yes please.  I need some dragons in my life right now.

Seeing book 2 is coming out reminded me I wanted to read book 1.  Also, I know Stormi really enjoyed this one.

Not sure why I requested this one.  Has anyone read it?

I've been reading more Romance/Women's Fiction lately and I adore this author so I really want to pick this one up.

I've heard good things and this one is kind of giving me IT vibes and I could use some fictional horror to get my mind of the real-life horror.

I'm up for any retelling of Little Women.

Horror...enough said.

I thought this was MG horror, but I see now it's YA horror.  Oh well, it's horror.

So there you have it.  Can you recommend any of these?

  2. I just finished The Shadows! Quite a good story, not nearly as scary as I had hoped, but I think I'm definitely impressed enough to go back and read that authors debut. Hope you enjoy your upcoming reads!

    1. I haven't read the first one either Bonnie so The Shadows will be my first from the author as well. I actually won The Whisper Man from Goodreads so I have no excuse!

  3. I've been hearing raves about Survivor Song. I might just buy a copy. And I've also heard good things about He Started It. Great list, Barb!

  4. Some interesting picks here. I want to read the Jenn McKinlay one too as I heard it was really good. I didn't like The Whisper Man so I am nervous about trying the new one by Alex North, maybe you can change my mind. :)

    1. I adore Jenn's writing and am anxious to see how this one sits with me. I didn't read The Whisper Man so I won't be able to compare the two yet.

  8. I just got the Tremblay book in the mail from the publisher. I DNF'd CABIN, so we'll see what I think of this one. I'm definitely interested in JO & LAURIE, though. It sounds really good. I hope you enjoy all these.

    Happy TTT!

  14. My bookshelves are like having a library in my own home! Soon I'll be starting my next big project-getting my room straightened out! That is going to take time and energy and a lot of book hauling but it lets me cull stuff for going to the charity shops!

  15. I want to read Burn, but the library waitlist is massive, so who knows when that will happen. The Shadows and Death In Her Hands are on my must-read list too. I hope you enjoy all these!

    1. It's not too long on my end and Overdrive is so weird. I can be like #38 on 3 copies and before I know it, it's arrived. There is no rhyme or reason to it!

  16. What a great variety, I’m really looking forward to reading The Shadows, it sounds creepy.

  17. I love this topic because I am always super nosy - I mean innocently curious - about what people get from their libraries, especially when it's a cool mix like this. My library only got Jo & Laurie as an ebook and audiobook, neither of which are the most accessible formats to me, so I'm a little jealous of that particular hold.

I must say, this is the first I've heard of it but He Started It looks really interesting.

    1. Hey I love seeing what everyone else is reading as well. It's a lot of the fun about blogging. I'm lucky enough to live on the border of WV and Ohio so I can access both library systems which greatly increases my selection. Which is good AND bad.
