"Waiting on" Wednesday is weekly meme hosted over at Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming anticipated releases. Here is what I am most waiting for this week:

The Last Necromancer : C.J. Archer - August 11, 2015 |
People are now hunting Charlie all over London, but only one man succeeds in capturing her.
Lincoln Fitzroy is the mysterious head of a secret organization on the trail of a madman who needs a necromancer to control his newly "made" creatures. There was only one known necromancer in the world - Charlotte - but now there appears to be two. Lincoln captures the willful Charlie in the hopes the boy will lead him to Charlotte. But what happens when he discovers the boy is in fact the young woman he's been searching for all along? And will she agree to work for the man who held her against her will, and for an organization she doesn't trust?
Because Lincoln and his ministry might be just as dangerous as the madman they're hunting.
I love that cover and can't wait to get my hands on this. At least it isn't a long wait!
This is part of a series, right? This sounds really cool and fantasy-ish but I want to know if this is part of a series because, I'll most likely pick it!

Yes, Mary Jane, it's book 1 in the Ministry of Curiosities series with #2 coming out August 24th. It's cover is just as great and maybe I will feature it next week since they are released so closely together. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteOHHHH, this sounds GOOD! I like the Victorian setting, and throw in necromancy and I'm hooked. Historical paranormal reads are growing it feels like. Hmm, I might need to investigate this genre more.
ReplyDeleteGoing to add to this to my #5Books tag rec post for the end of the week. If by any chance you think of any other historical paranormal/supernatural stories like this will you let me know?
DeleteBook 2 comes out 2 weeks after this one. I don't remember the name but it is on Goodreads. The is The Hanged Man by P.N. World and the Protectorate Parasol series by Gail Carriger. Check them out !
DeleteThat's a pretty cover indeed! I haven't read a lot of books about necromancers so far, might have to check this one out, it sounds good!
ReplyDeleteThis one does sound incredibly good! Gotta love that gorgeous cover too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!
