Outcasts Review

TITLE: Outcast
AUTHOR: Robert Kirkman, Paul Azaceta
PUBLISHER: Image Comics
PUBLISHING DATE: January 15, 2015

FROM GOODREADS: NEW HORROR SERIES FROM THE WALKING DEAD CREATOR ROBERT KIRKMAN!
Kyle Barnes has been plagued by demonic possession all his life and now he needs answers. Unfortunately, what he uncovers along the way could bring about the end of life on Earth as we know it.

MY THOUGHTS:

I purchased this graphic novel because Robert Kirkman created The Walking Dead and I heard this was the next great thing. Kyle has spent his entire life being sought out by demons and during his struggles, finds out that one, he can possibly help others, and that two, he possible plays a part in a bigger picture. This contains the first 6 installments of the comic book so I realize that it is a lot of set up. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of action too, I just didn't really care. I found myself just wanting to get to the end of the book. The artwork is great and is done in most of the same colors and hues on the cover. I will probably pick up the next one when it comes out, but I'm not in any hurry and will probably just grab it from the library.

RATING: 3 PAWS

  1. I recently got into The Walking Dead tv show, but haven't read any of the graphic novels. I've heard good things though
