Stacking the Shelves (98)

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews.  Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.

I grabbed a couple of free books for my Kindle and also purchased 2 that were on sale for less that $2.00.  I know "Hounded" was $1.99 (Chuckles will be glad to see this one) and I think "Whiskey, Vamps and Thieves" was the same price (and yes, I have continually had the Cher song going round and round in my head since this post started).  I though "The Familiar" and "Murder Bites" looked cute so when I saw the for free (I think, don't quote me) I grabbed them.

I also managed to score a few awesome review books this week.  You've already seen "Greedy Pigs" on my Weekly Reads so I won't share it again.  I also was provided a copy of "Spectacle" by Rachel Vincent.  I loved "Menagerie" so much I was jumping up and down when I got this yesterday (I'll takes the highs where I can get them :)  I also received "The Luster of Lost Things" which was a Canine ADHD grab and "Hollywood Homicide" is a new mystery release from one of my favorite publishers, Midnight Ink. I also am interested to see what "Letters to the Lost" is all about.   I see a definite blue theme this week.

I'm pretty excited for all of these reads.  What did you add to your shelves this week?

  5. I can't wait for Spectacle! I will probably listen to the audio when it comes out since the first one was great. Letters to the Lost looks good and I am tempted by Hounded. Enjoy!

    1. Chuckles loves Hounded and I know she won't steer me wrong with the series since there is a seriously adorable, as well as opinionated, dog involved.

  7. The theme of this week seems to be blue covers! Lots of new stuff to me, but they're all very pretty :)

    1. Isn't it funny how some weeks just seem to have more of a theme than others? Even when we aren't trying!

  8. Isn't that funny when that happens---I had kind of bluish green theme will almost all the books I got recently! :D I'm very excited for Letters to the Lost--it looks sad but really good!

  12. Free/cheap books are the best! I see two familiar books - Letters to the Lost and Spectacle. I got Letters to the Lost last week and Spectacle this week! I'm excited to read both. I hear this is Brigid Kemmerer's best yet. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Barb. :)
