So March was a spectacular month (which could have only be made better by at least ONE 5/5 read but you can see previous post for that). However, April is already off to a slow start because the book I'm reading isn't grabbing me like I want it to. I'll be adding a few additional reads this weekend as I have been doing all year and we'll see if that shakes things up a bit. So let's look at this month's contenders. You probably saw a few of these already in my Spring Into Horror TBR.
So last month I read 6 of my 9 contenders. Hope I'm as fortunate this month. Do you plan on reading any of these?
The Hunting Party is on my TBR - can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to get it started. And it's an Overdrive title so I can't wait too long!
DeleteI totally want to read Strange Ink, but I don't have a copy of it yet.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my local libraries has it so I was lucky in that respect.
DeleteI'm curious to hear what you're reading right now. You already know I loved A Boy and his Dog, and I recently heard about The Dark Game, which sounds really good😊
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck on The River. I have to make good progress on The Dark Game this weekend though.
DeleteI want to read NOS4A2 before the series - eek!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed The Hunting Party and I'm so excited to pick up A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World.
Lynn :D
That's exactly why I've bumped it up. However, it may get pushed to May. I HAVE to get to A Boy and His Dog.
DeleteA dog and his boy is excellent! I hope you enjoy it as well.
ReplyDeleteI've heard only good things about it!
DeleteI have some of these too. Should be a good month for reading!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so although my April is starting off slow.
DeleteDefinitely A Boy and his Dog at the End of the World, that's a 100% must-read for me this month!

Me too. I'm thinking Easter weekend as I have a three-day break.
DeleteHope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm so intrigued by Strange Ink. I hope your reading experience improves the rest of the month. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alicia. So do I!
DeleteI have read the Joe Hill and Ilona Andrews books and enjoyed them both. I am looking forward to starting A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World very soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking NOS4A2 may get pushed to May. April seems so short but it's not really. Wonder what's up with that?
DeleteI just read a great review for A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World so I hope that one is a good read for you. I've added it to my TBR as well.
ReplyDeleteI've seen several for it. Hope we both enjoy it.
DeleteI just finished Joe Hill's and loved it - a bit disappointed with the ending but it was good. I hope you enjoy all the books. I have my notes waiting for me to write the review. I hope to do that soon. I started another audio and it's just not that great. I might OMG - DNF it. I just don't want to waste my time with it. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteMary
I wish I could DNF more. Have you seen the NOS4A2 trailer!
DeleteI'm so struggling right now! Maybe I need to read a few shorter stories to get me moving. I didn't bother to put together a list for April's reading! Hopefully I can get back to mood reading!
ReplyDeleteThat might help. I'm sure you will be reading tons soon!
DeleteI want to read A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World, too! Happy reading. Let's hope there's a five star in there. 👍✨
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I just finished "The Hunting Party" and it came close.
