Top Ten Tuesday - Books I'd Gladly Throw Into the Ocean

The top 10 weekly meme used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish they  handed over the reins to That Artsy Reader Girl who can be found HERE.  Each week she will focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

This week's topic is books I'd gladly throw into the ocean.  This should be easy enough and I bet you'll see some old favorites - or should I say not-so-favorites.

This one was definitely not what I was looking for when I read it.

This one will fit right in floating around in the ocean.

If you've been visiting my blog for any amount of time you knew this one would be featured here.

Here's another one that should be a shock to no one!

I found this thriller to be pretty boring.

Here's one I just finished and haven't even reviewed yet.  I can't wait for the ocean to melt all that snow and sweep away all those depressing people!

Looking back I think 2 stars was a generous rating for this one.

Since the MC is thinking of ending things, it won't be upset to be helped along with a push off the side of a boat.

Deer can swim right?  I wanted to like this one so badly.

This is actually the only book I've read by this author that I haven't liked.  I loved The Unwanted Guest.

So there you have it.  I know a lot of people love these books and I'm not saying anything negative about the books, the authors, or the people who love them.  They just weren't for me.

Did any of these make your list???

  1. Oof, gotta agree with Little Heaven...what a disappointment that was after The Troop! And I wasn't a huge fan of The Sanatorium either, sorry that didn't work for you! But so right, all those characters were awful or depressing...

  2. I have not read any of these. I still have an arc of Little Heaven that I need to read but every time I think about it, I remember how much you hated and pick something else instead.

  3. The Hunger was definitely kind of disappointing!

  4. I definitely recognize some old favorites of yours, lol. At this point I would be disappointed if I didn't see The Hunger on this kind of list😉

  7. Oh no I was hoping the Sanatorium would be good! I've been seeing mixed reviews though...

  8. Oh I really liked Pine! But each to their own! The Doll Factory has been on my TBR for a while now but I keep hearing problematic things about it...
These are the books I chose that belong in the sea, only because they feature the sea prominently!

  9. No surprise to see old favourites The Hunger and The Cutter there! Pity about The Sanitarium as it has such a great cover!
