Not my usual Weekend Reads photo but above is a picture of Niagara Falls last night. I think it is a beautiful photo and a wonderful tribute to an artist who us much too early. It's definitely going to be a purple weekend at The Farm. This past week I did manage to get a few books read, but basically I haven't picked up anything in the past two days. I hope to remedy that this weekend. I have a few errands to take care of Saturday morning but other than that, no real plans. Husband and I will probably watch "The Revenant" and of course, Game of Thrones starts Sunday so we will at least DVR it. I may slip "Purple Rain" in somewhere along the way. Here are the books waiting to be picked up:
So what are you plans this weekend/week?
I am doing Dewey's 24 hour read-a-thon tomorrow, though never get a full 24 hours in. :)
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to finish Love of the Game today but I have teenagers using my kitchen to cook a dish for a project so it won't be quiet around here. I really want to watch Purple Rain soon. I was in high school when it came out but my mom was weird about R movies. I am pretty sure that I am still not allowed to watch them. I am saddened by Prince's death this week.

WOW it is a beautiful pic Barb. Great tribute! I've trying to watch "The Revenant" too but with everyone sick at home I fell behind on everything :( I hope you are watching Game of Thrones as I'm leaving this comment for you! :) I'll rather watch it tomorrow because I think I had too much cough syrup and I'm a light Dory-er right now :)
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get to The Revenant because we stayed up late watching Prince videos and then Purple Rain Saturday night. We ended up DVR'ing Game of Thrones while we watched Fear the Walking Dead, and then watched it afterwards. Not a bad opening but still some unanswered questions (not posting because of spoilers but I'm sure you know what I am talking about).
