Stacking the Shelves (77)

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews.  Clicking on the book should take you to the Goodreads page.

I had some time this week to visit my not-so-local library (who am I kidding, it's still only about 5 miles away) and grabbed a few things.  It's a nice library, just not as big as my "home" one.  Since I can renew on line and return the things checked out to my "home" library (go figure), I visit it about once every 2 months. Here's what I managed to grab.  I love the cover for  "The 13th Sign" and even though I have a digital ARC of "Las Call...." I wanted to read the trade paperback when I saw it.

Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge The 13th Sign Night of the Animals

Then I think I hit the ARC jackpot this week.  Some approvals have came in that lingered so long I almost forgot about them and then I actually got approved for a few titles I had featured on my Waiting on Wednesday feature so all in all, I'm a happy camper (although I don't camp).

The Dog Ray The Apothecary's Curse Chasing Embers Stranded
The Family Plot The Rahtrum Chronicles The Carver Dead Dancing Women

And then I received the following from the Penguin First to Read Program:

See, told you I hit the jackpot!  So what did you guys add this week?  Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

  1. I couldn't go camping...I have issues with spiders, bugs, serial killers in hockey masks and things like werewolves...I doubt I'd get any sleep! Hugs to the furry ones and enjoy your books!

  2. Doesn't Chasing Embers sound fantastic? ANd I hope you like Last Call -- read it a few months ago. Definitely good stuff in it.

  3. Wow, you got lots of good books! I got The Carver last week so I hope we both enjoy that one. I am a little curious about some you got so can't wait for a review on them.

I have the hardest time getting anything from First to Read, but if I go to netgalley and request that same book I get it, so go figure. :)

    Happy reading!

  4. That's funny, I was just approved for The Family Plot after waiting forever! Looks like a great pile of books. I'm very interested in Chasing Embers but I've put myself on a request ban:-)

  5. Wow you did hit the jackpot! I've been eyeing several of these myself, but I am also trying to limit my requests at the moment until I catch up a bit. Doesn't Stranded sound really good? It caught my attention right away!
