So at least February was a better reading month in terms of books completed than January was, which is surprising given the curve ball life threw me this month. I've managed to read 7 books and am halfway through an 8th so I should start March off with an early finish. There are still some challenges I am not doing so well with but hey, it's still early in the year and I do have plans to focus on a few of them this month. While I am still behind with my Goodreads challenge (which I have to admit is a pretty odd occurrence) I am gaining ground. So here's what happened in February:
GOODREADS: 12/100
2017 CLOAK & DAGGER CHALLENGE: 3/25
(Nemesis, Death By Chocolate Lab)
2017 FLIGHTS OF FANTASY CHALLENGE: 6/18
(Curse of Stars, Nemesis, Guardian of Secrets)
2017 HORROR READING CHALLENGE: 5/25
(Something, Dread and Breakfast, Six Scary Stories)
2017 WHAT AN ANIMAL CHALLENGE: 2/20
(Death By Chocolate Lab)
2017 NEW RELEASE CHALLENGE: 8/61
(Curse of Stars, Something, Nemesis, Death By Chocolate Lab, Guardian of Secrets)
BLOGGER SHAME REVIEW CHALLENGE: 0/12 (gee, guess what I need to work on)
Of the 7 books read, I had 1-1 paw read, 3 3-paw reads, 2 4-paw reads and 1 5-paw read. "Dread and Breakfast" was my favorite read this month with "Death by Chocolate Lab" and "Nemesis" close on its tail.
So how did you do this month???
You're off to a good start. As you said, it's only February. I just realized I haven't signed up for a horror challenge!
ReplyDeleteYou better get busy and do that. It's one of my favorite challenges - that and Cloak & Dagger.
DeleteGah, how can February be over already?! 2017 is flying by...
ReplyDeleteGreat work on your challenges, by the way!

Thanks and yes, the months are going by so quickly.
DeleteI'm actually 3 books behind my goodreads challenge as well. But it's not even half of 2017 so I'm pretty much relax. Nice to know you had a better reading month, Barb :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I hate being behind though...it really bothers me.
DeleteGood stats for February, considering everything you went through with the dogs so congrats! Here's to a stress free and good reading March!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chuckles. I'm going to try to post some pics of Booker and Cass in the next few weeks so keep an eye out. I know you'll enjoy them.
DeleteGreat reading month especially with the stress you've been under. I haven't looked at my reading yet for Feb but GR says I am right on track which is a minor miracle ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats for being on track. Yes, I have no desire to have another month like February anytime in the near future.
DeleteOH MY I LOVE THAT PIC!!! I love boxers period. :)
ReplyDeleteMy next venting about #bookwormproblems is the pressure of challenges. I had to stop doing them :( You are a pretty dedicated bookworm so you WILL indeed catch up with your challenges
I'm loving the Devil Crept in and Can't wait to get to Dread and Breakfast :)
They kind of motivate me but when I don't meet them, I get really bummed. So far I've done pretty well last year and this but if I hit a bad spot, I can see myself getting frustrated and not doing them next year. However, for right now, I'm enjoying them.
Deletehahaha I also need to work on my review books... I don't think I read a single one this month.
ReplyDeleteI read some review books, just not older ones...that's my problem!
DeleteI'm glad your reading was up this month! Mine went the opposite direction.
