Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.
I actually bought a few books from Amazon this week for my Kindle. 1-click struck again. I don't think these were on sale but they weren't real expensive either. I saw Driving Rain on someone's blog and thought it sounded like a decent urban fantasy. I didn't know Lost Souls existed but since I love the Cainsville series, I had to pick up this novella. An I can blame Laura over at FUONLYKNEW for pointing out The Adventures of Sherlock Bones to me. I couldn't resist this middle grade book and need to eventually buy book two as well.
I also snagged these three for free. Sarah and Caliban look really creepy and I couldn't resist the urban fantasy novel, Dark Siren.
And alas, Netgalley struck again. Or should I say I struck Netgalley again???Redder Than Blood just sounds awesome and the cover of Keep in a Cold Dark Place reminded me of Gremlins. At least The Blackbird Season doesn't come out until September which was a deciding factor when I grabbed it.
So what did you add this week and did you grab any of these as well?
I like the Sherlock Bones cover! Dark Siren is on my never ending tbr somewhere I think. I'm sure I recognise the cover. I grabbed a few books this week but they haven't arrived yet so will need to save them for next week's STS!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what new ones you grabbed.
DeleteNope, I haven't grabbed any of these :( But, I have to say the cover of the Kate Moretti book is soooo striking! And creepy!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I love the colors and the birds give it a really eerie quality.
DeleteI put The Sherlock Bones on my wishlist when I seen it on her site too...lol. You got me this week I requested two of the netgalley books you got and already heard back from one! I put a couple of your freebies on my wishlist cause there were not free anymore. :( Bummer.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend full of good reads! :)
Stormi
Thanks Stormi. Hopefully you get approved for the other one as well.

Thanks for stopping by Grace. Hope you had a great weekend as well.
DeleteHey, nothing wrong with treating yourself to some great Kindle books! All of these are new to me - though I'm curious about Redder than Blood. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Barb. =)
Check out my STS post!
Redder Than Blood is one I'm really excited to read!
DeleteDark Siren does sound interesting. Looks like you have some goodies this week, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eve.
DeleteIf you like the Cainsville series then you'll enjoy Lost Souls. I picked up LS without knowing it was part of a series so I was a bit lost at the beginning, but I ended up enjoying it anyway.

The Cainsville series is one of my favorite. The last book comes out in a few weeks and needless to say, I'm bummed.
DeleteNice list of books. Enjoy and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOooh, some of these look good and creepy!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCreepy is always good.
DeleteSherlock Bones is awesome! Even if the book isn't great the title is :) I almost clicked on Keep in a Cold Dark Place this week myself. Enjoy all of these!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist the cover and Sherlock Bones' assistant is Catson (I think). Isn't that too cute?
DeleteI heard a lot of great things about Tanith Lee.. need to look into picking up something of hers one of these days. :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to read The Blackbird Season. It sounds so good. Great haul this week! Happy reading!
