I ended up grabbing some books from Amazon this week on sale. I've heard some good things about "Jade City" so when I got an email Friday that it was on sale for $2.99 I went ahead and grabbed it. "The Ripper's Shadow" is a book I've been meaning to read all year and even though my library has it, it was on sale for $0.99 so I figured it was worth it. Finally "Demon Dog" was a total impulse but for $0.99 as well.
I also received three books from Netgalley and the publishers. I'm thrilled to have "Pick and Chews" especially since it's a series I'm current on and I featured it on a Can't Wait Wednesday post a few weeks ago. "The Dogs of Camelot" looks right up my alley and pretty interesting to boot. I used to love werewolf books but really haven't read any in ages so I'm hoping "Wolf Blood" rekindles my love of them.
What did you add to your shelves this week???
Jade City sounds like it could be really good, I'm hoping to find some time this Christmas break to read it too!

I've seen a few good reviews so when I saw it on sale I couldn't resist grabbing it.
DeleteI used to read a lot of werewolf books but the urban fantasy ones recently are PNR wolfathons!
ReplyDeleteI like Patricia Briggs' werewolves but you know me and romance. I like my werewolves mean and nasty (most of the time) just like I do my vampires.
DeleteOh your new books look great. I hope you’ll enjoy them. Happy reading and have a wonderful reading week. 😁❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI am curious about Jade City...and the cozy doggie book looks like fun. Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteAlways gotta grab the doggy books!
DeletePick and Chews has a fun cover. Hey, if you haven't already give a listen to Sia's Christmas song, Puppies are Forever. I think you'll love it :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check that out. I know I can stream it on Amazon prime.
DeleteThe Dogs of Camelot interests me. Actually all the dogs over the years the presidents have had would be an interesting read. Have fun with all your books.
ReplyDeleteI actually think there is a book similar to what you mentioned. I recall seeing something like it on Book Outlet once.
DeleteYou got some good one! I like the looks of Demon Dog and Wolf Blood!
ReplyDeleteI know. I love the covers.
DeleteJade City does look good, I've seen that one around and love the cover. Hope the reads are all good. Wolf Blood looks intense!
ReplyDeleteI need some intense werewolves in my life in 2018!
DeleteI LOVE werewolves! They're my favorite paranormal creature. My favorite books with them are Blood and Chocolate and The Mayfair Moon trilogy. But I'm definitely going to see if Wolf Blood is something I'd like to read. :)
ReplyDeleteI think they are my favorite paranormal creature too - although I have to admit gargoyles also hold a special place in my heart...and witches. Oh well, they are one of my faves.
DeletePick and Chews just made me smile! I have been wondering about Jade City, so I will be looking for your review.
ReplyDeleteThat cozy series is such a fun read. The bulldog must be a new character so I'm excited to meet him.
DeleteYAY for getting Pick and Chews Barb! It's great that a book you've been looking forward to made its way to you early :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

All those books look pretty scary! My favorite genre. I'm looking forward to finding some more great horror/thriller books by different authors.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look into some of these books more. My library book club always wants more suggestions. Enjoy your reads and have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeletePick and Chews looks good. I'm a little behind on that series. It's a good one, though. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice haul. And I'm not at all surprised to see so many doggie covers on your list. I've started thinking of you every time I come across a book featuring a dog.

I would've snagged The Ripper's Shadow for $0.99 too. I'm always a sucker for Jack the Ripper stuff.
