This week's topic is author's who have a fun social media presence. Now I'll be honest, I don't keep up a ton on the whole social media/author thing but there are a few I follow on Goodreads and Twitter and through social media. So I'm only going to try to come up with five!
HUNTER SHEA
Hunter interacts with his fans a lot through a lot of different social media platforms. He even has a podcast and monthly newsletter.
STEPHEN KING
Mr. King is not afraid to voice his opinion on numerous issues which makes following him on Twitter so much fun. He also has a wonderful dog - Evil Molly, whom I love to see and hear about.
ALAN BAXTER
I'm adding Alan to the list because I just read Roo and the while book came about due to an interact with others on Twitter. Such a fun backstory. Also, keep an eye out for my review.

KIRA JANE BUXTON
I've had a couple of interactions with Kira on Twitter and she seems like such a great person. Plus, she has a pet crow and is always showing pictures
JACKIE BOUCHARD
I adore Jackie and her dog Rita. I've followed and interacted with her for years.
So there you have it. Can't wait to see who's on your list!
King's dog is called Evil Molly? LOL! I shouldn't be surprised! Seeing that Kira Jane has her own crow, makes Hollow Kingdom make sense!
ReplyDeleteHe calls her Molly the Thing of Evil and it is adorable :)
DeleteYea, I love Molly - she's a Corgi. And she's is so awesome.
DeleteI do love it when authors (well, anyone, really!) tweet about their pets!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
It just seems to make them more human and let's admit it, I love animals better than people anyway :)
DeleteStephen King was on my list, too!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT .
I think he made a lot of lists today and let's be honest, even if people don't like what he says, at least they should respect that he speaks his mind.
DeleteNo list for me this week! I don't really have time for social media. I do follow authors on Twitter but to be honest, I'm so rarely there that I never see what they post!
ReplyDeleteI don't follow it a lot but have a few faves I pay attention to now and then.
DeleteKira Jane Buxton is so sweet and has responded to me on Twitter and Instagram. I've been following her vacation pics that show her adopted rooster😁
ReplyDeleteYes, her Instagram pics have been awesome.
Deletegreat posts. i see a familiar face or two in there. :-)

I'm not surprised to see King here! Did you see his VERY strong opinions on Twitter about book reviewers???
ReplyDeleteNo I missed them. I'm assuming he hates us all :) He is very opinionated.
DeleteStephen King is great. He's so blunt.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely blunt but I guess he can afford to be.
DeleteGreat ones.

I've seen Stephen King on other lists today. He must really be a fun one to follow :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!

He's definitely very opinionated and you either love or hate what he says. I just respect that he says it.
DeleteSome amazing Twitter people are Sonora Taylor & Sara Tantlinger & Steve Stred. They behave more like people and readers which is why I love following them. Some writers only seem to social media to promote their work which I get but it's not nearly as fun.
ReplyDeleteYea I don't want to follow people who only talk about their work.
DeleteI've had a few fun authors that I interact with on social media. Thankfully most authors are really nice that I've met.
ReplyDeleteHunter Shea's books always look so fun. :)
ReplyDeleteA pet crow!!
Yes, now Cass wants one :)
DeleteI've seen Stephen King on a lot of lists today but since I don't read his books I haven't explored his webpage or social media. It is really hard to follow authors if all they are doing is talking up their books. I like John Green because he uses his celebrity for education on a variety of different topics. My TTT list
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice when they use their popularity for good causes.
DeleteLots of Stephan King fans today. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/03/ttt-031020.html
ReplyDeleteYes there are!
DeleteI love that Stephen King isn't afraid to give his opinions. There are a few authors that can be pretty entertaining on social media.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I like him. I might not agree with everything he says but I do enjoy reading his thoughts.
DeleteFor some reason, I didn't think to add Stephen King to my list, but YES! Of course everyone should follow him and, like, Brandon Sanderson, JK Rowling, Anne Rice, etc. You know, the big kahunas of authors. xD
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of most of these authors, so now I guess I'll have some new people to check out! Thanks.
I have heard some negative things about Rice and while I have enjoyed some of her books in the past, I don't know that I care to follow her.
DeleteGlad you found some authors you enjoy following.
ReplyDeleteI also love Stephen King and Kira Jane's Twitter accounts. I also love Kira's IG! 😁
ReplyDeleteIt's such an awesome Instagram.
DeleteI wondered if Stephen King would be on your list. I've seen a few of his posts on Twitter and he really isn't afraid to give his opinion which definitely makes his feed interesting.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
Yea, never a dull moment with him.
DeleteI really need to add Stephen King! Everyone is following him! You can check out my TTT at Lisa Loves Literature.
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely not afraid to say what he's thinking.
DeleteGreat list!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Erica!
