FROM GOODREADS: Everyone in Vallen knows that ice wolves and scorch dragons are sworn enemies who live deeply separate lives.
So when twelve-year-old orphan Anders takes one elemental form and his twin sister, Rayna, takes another, he has to question whether they are even related. Still, whether or not they’re family, Anders knows that Rayna is his best and only true friend. She’s nothing like the brutal, cruel dragons who claimed her as one of their own and stole her away.
To learn what he needs to rescue her, Anders will have to enlist at the foreboding Ulfar Academy, a school for young wolves that values loyalty to the pack above all else. But for Anders, loyalty is more complicated than blind obedience, and friendship is the most powerful shape-shifting force of all.
New York Times bestselling author Amie Kaufman delivers heart-pounding adventure and breathtaking magical inventions in this unforgettable story about finding one’s place in a sharply divided world.
WHY I CAN'T WAIT: First of all, I've heard lots of good things about the author, Amie Kaufman. Secondly, that cover (actually that should probably be first). And last but not least, I love wolves and can't wait to learn more about a school for young wolves.
WHAT BOOK CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THIS WEEK???
Winter Is Coming and a school for young wolves is intriguing! Great cover!
ReplyDeleteI know, that wolf head immediately caught my eye!
DeleteWell that does sound good. Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna.
DeleteI am loving the bond between the siblings despite their differences. dragons and Wolves, what a combo!
ReplyDeleteI know. Although it seems like it might be obvious, I mean even Game of Thrones has dragons and wolves, I don't recall seeing the combination a lot in books.
DeleteThis does sound interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time coming up with one for today for some reason.
DeleteWow, I had no idea Amie Kaufman had a new book coming out. This sounds really good:-)
ReplyDeleteSeems she has been writing a lot lately huh?
DeleteLove the cover too. I am drawn to wolves, sure, but those darn dragons seem to win me over every time. :-)

ReplyDeleteI've not read anything by her but do have a copy of Illuminae which she wrote with Jay Kristoff.
DeleteThis sounds good. I didnt like the Illuminae books she co wrote but i may prefer her solo works. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSeems her books get mixed reviews but I'm willing to give this one a chance.
DeleteOh I like this author and the cover is pretty! Will have to keep this on my radar :)
ReplyDeleteGood. Hope you enjoy it!

DeleteWell, I didn't know Kaufman wrote a MG book. I will have to check this out. I love her.
ReplyDeleteSeems a lot of people do Sam. Sad to say I've not read anything by her yet.
DeleteA school for wolves and Amie Kaufman? That is a good combo!
ReplyDeleteI imagine all these little wolf pups running around - although I'm sure that's not the case.
DeleteI've also been curious about Amie Kaufman's books lately, I don't think I've read anything by her that she's written solo yet. This looks like a good place to start :)

I may even have to get a physical copy because of that cover.
