This meme is actually on hiatus for a few weeks but a few bloggers are doing their own topics for a while and I've missed this post so I decided this week to share with you my latest book discoveries featuring dogs. Some of these have already been released and some are up and coming.
Dog Drama (Allie Babcock Mystery #6) - Leslie O'Kane. Nope I haven't read the other books in this series but how could I resist this cover. This one was just released a few weeks ago.
Special Agent (Classified K-9 Unit 3#) - Valerie Hansen. I don't read romance very often but I'm tempted just because look at the boxer on the cover!!!! And it has dogs so it can't be all that bad right?
Blood Red, White and Blue (Mary McGill Dog Mystery #3) - Katheleen Delaney. I own the first in this series but need to get this second. These are sooooo expensive when they first come out and this one was released earlier this month. I mean seriously, $25.00 for a Kindle edition?????
Barking Up the Wrong Tree and Every Dog Has His Day (Bluff Point Romance #2 and #3) - Jenn McKinlay. I loved the first one in this series and can't wait for these two. They are great light reads and lots of fun. I've said it before though, I think the dog on the third one resembles a baby goat. Yes, I'm slightly crazy.
Gin & Tonic Mysteries - L.A. Kornetsky. I've had my eye on these ones for awhile. I think there's a total of 4 so far in the series.
Checked - Cynthia Kadohata. This one will be featured soon on Can't Wait Wednesday but I can't wait to get to this one.
The Grace of Dogs - Andrew Root. I just bought this one a few days ago. Look how happy the puppy looks (doesn't take much to excite me).
Chester and Gus - Cammie McGovern. I might have grabbed this one too. What can I say? It was a moment of weakness.
The Returns #1 and #2 - M.K. Clinton. This is about people who die too early and come back to Earth as dogs. Sound like fun reads to me.
Trigger Yappy (Roundup Crew Mystery #2) - Diana Orgain. Yep, I have the first but haven't read it. This came out in December.
So there you have it. Hope all my dog loving friends find something which catches their eyes!
That Dog Drama dog looks like a right diva! Looks like there is going to be plenty doggy fun for you!
ReplyDeleteYep, if I can make some time to read them :)
DeleteOMG DOG DRAMA, who can resist that face!!
ReplyDeleteI know, isn't it adorable!
DeleteLooks like a fantastic lineup! Great idea for a top ten, by the way:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy. I was having trouble but thanks to another blog I have another idea for next week too.
Deleteomg I LOVE LOVE LOVE all these covers! Pugs! cocker spaniel! I gifted my hubby with a doberman (and a Shar Pei) when we were dating. Dobermans are his all-time favorite dog... after... the basset hound!! omg those are the most adorable puppies ever! he dies for those :)
ReplyDeleteDobies are so cute. My Grandpa used to have a mini one. I always wanted a shar pei as a kid. You give awesome gifts!
DeleteMore doggie books, yay! I cannot wait until I finish up my Netgalley titles so I can start buying some new books!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you buy!
DeleteI am hit or miss with dog books. I find that I love them, but if anything remotely sad happens to the dog, I am OUT. I have had the Gin and Tonic series on my radar for a while, though.
ReplyDeleteI also really want to read Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones
I can totally relate. I've still not read A Dog's Purpose OR seen the movie and Marley and Me about killed me. I like it when dogs are sidekicks and fun additions.
DeleteSome of those look really fun! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't they?
DeleteSo many puppies! I'm excited for the McKinlay. Such great covers!
ReplyDeleteI know. I want those next two books in that series NOW!
DeleteOooo... look at all the dog books! I recently bought one with a dog on the cover - Wish Me Home - but haven't had a chance to read it yet. Can't wait to send you mine!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look that one up. I can't wait to get yours either. Maybe you can do a guest post when I review it!
DeleteI always love your dog based weeks, and find so many that sound adorable. I need to start looking for more by myself!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on a challenge/read-along with a dog theme in January and will be offering a $10.00 BooK Depository GC as a prize - you should find one and plan on joining.
