This week we are sharing books that have been on our TBR's for the longest. In order to protect the innocent (who am I kidding, I'm protecting myself!), I am not sharing exactly HOW long (and in some cases I don't even know). Just know that it's been a LONG time.
(Don't kill me Stormi!)
I hope to incorporate this into my Swords & Stars Challenge this year.
Admit it, I got you guys with this one right?
Nope, haven't watched the movie either - gotta prepare myself mentally for both.
I have to be truthful, I got scared by the "for fans of Gone Girl" comparison. What if I wasn't a fan? Should I even try?
I do remember I bought this book for $1.00.
So now wasn't that fun? Or depressing depending on how you look at it. Have you read any of these? I just can't wait to see what made it to everyone else's lists this week.
(As always, click on the cover if you want more info)
Barb I haven't read any of these but, Esther The Wonder Pig looks fun. :)
ReplyDeleteLots of people are liking the looks of Esther.
DeleteI haven't read any of these I'm afraid so I can't offer thoughts on what is good! I've heard good things about A Dog's Purpose though. I think I'm too emotional to read these dog books!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I've put it off for so long.
DeleteOMG just put everything down and read Jack Sparks!
ReplyDeleteI know you love it and thought of you when I added it here.
DeleteI've read Luckiest Girl Alive and it shares an unreliable narrator with Gone Girl. But that's the biggest similarity.
ReplyDeleteFor this reader, I enjoyed Gone Girl more.

Uh oh. That doesn't sound positive for me. Even though they are different, if you liked Gone Girl more, then I'm worried.
DeleteI haven't been able to convince myself to pick up any of the over-hyped thrillers, so Gone Girl, Luckiest Girl Alive and The Girl on the Train should have all been on my list!
ReplyDeleteThe only one I've read is Gone Girl. I watched the movie for Girl on the Train and didn't like it so I kind of scraped the book.
DeleteWhat your doing with your time? lol Get to reading Esther & Dog Crazy already. They're both great stories.
ReplyDelete*What have you been doing? I need a proof-reader desperately.
DeleteI have read none of these, especially Esther the Wonder Pig. Running out to find Esther....LOL!
ReplyDeleteGo get Esther now. How could you not - she's so cute.
DeleteOoooh, your so bad. Game of Shadows is awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally believe you, I just haven't picked it up yet.
DeleteAwwww wonder piggeh! So cute.
ReplyDeleteRight?
DeleteIt is a little eye-opening make this week's Top Ten Tuesday list. I hope you have the opportunity to read some of these soon or to finally find the strength to get rid of them.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Get rid of books - easier said then done.
DeleteI haven't read any of these but looks like a few good titles!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie.
DeleteWow great list! I've only heard of two of these, wax, and a dogs purpose. I want to read wax so bad!
ReplyDeleteHere's our TTT http://jennreneeread.blogspot.com/2018/02/top-ten-tuesday-top-ten-oldest-series.html
I wanted to read Wax so much I don't now why I haven't yet.
DeleteOMG that Esther the Pig book! I can't even! A Dog's Purpose is hard to read at times but for the most part it is happy. The second book is worse. I hope you get to some of these books this year.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep that in mind. I also own the second one too!
DeleteI've read the Esther book! I can't even imagine life with a pig, but I ended up really loving the story and checking out the Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about the Facebook page. Have to check it out.
DeleteI actually liked The Luckiest Girl Alive. It was dark and twisted, and like a good train wreck, I couldn't look away. A Dog's Purpose looks excellent. I know the movie commercial made me cry, so I can only imagine the book would yield even more feels.
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while we need a train wreck huh? And yes, the movie ad made me tear up too!
DeleteI'm surprised you haven't read A Dog's Purpose, you've read like every other dog book there is! You definitely have to prepare yourself mentally for the book though, I cried so much.

Oh I have LOTS of dog books yet to read. It's a knack!
DeleteI have a few of these but haven't read them. I too am surprised you didn't get to the dog books. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have no reason not to pick up Dog Crazy but I'm really worried A Dog's Purpose with make my sob.
DeleteI haven't read any of the books on your list either. I have some books that have been with me for a very long time. I am curious about that pig book :)
ReplyDeleteLots of people seem curious about Esther.
DeleteI can't explain why but I am completely entranced by the cover for The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs. Like what is that based on in the book? How does that all come together? :)
ReplyDeleteDo you have two comments from me somehow? I swear, I saw Esther yesterday and commented about her?
DeleteI think the posted landed somewhere else because I remember reading it (I think). I will try to pick up the Rumbaugh book soon so I can answer some of your questions!
DeleteI'm sure you are going to ADORE a Dog's Purpose I perfectly understand procrastinating reading a book you know you will love! I do that all the time! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a bookworm thing huh?
DeleteYeah, Ester the Wonder Pig has my heart now. I'm off to Goodreads.🐽
ReplyDeleteI haven't read A Dog's Purpose either! I keep meaning to! So many good books on your list! I love them. But, still, it's so hard to get to them all. I haven't seen Esther the Wonder Pig. I need this in my life!
ReplyDeleteWe'll both have to resolve to read it sometime this year maybe.
DeleteThat is a fun list! I still need to read Jack Sparks, too.
ReplyDeleteDon't tell Tammy!
DeleteIf only we could bottle time - I still need to read Jack Sparks - it had such glowing reviews.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
I've had Wax on my TBR for ages as well. I borrowed it from a friend and it's sat on my shelf for so long. OOPS. I also have A Dog's Purpose sitting on my shelf. My sons would like me to hurry up and read it so they can have it back. :P I hope you love all of these when you do get to them!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I forgot to say that I did watch the movie for A Dog's Purpose. I cried about three times during it. I could not hold myself together. Prepare yourself with kleenex before you watch Barb!!
DeleteI wish there was more time to read . . . I haven't heard of that Carrie Vaughn book, which just seems wrong. I need to check that one out.
ReplyDeletehahahaa If it makes you feel better, I've only read one of these on your list. But I can highly recommend it! (Jack Sparks -- so good.)
