Weekly Reads (07/12/18)

So things are getting a tad bit back to normal here.  Mr. Barb and I both went back to work and I won't lie, we really both felt we could have used another week off.  However, I bet that's the case for lots of people.  The pups miss us but luckily I have a job where I can stop and check on them during lunch so they're not doing too badly.

We ended up watching "Blumhouse's Truth or Dare" Saturday night for lack of choice.  Seems like it's a bad time for TV/movie watching.  It wasn't bad but it wasn't good.  If we hadn't been desperate for something, I'd have probably skipped it altogether.  We then watched "Deep Blue Sea 2" for the same reasons.  I liked this one better because of the shark aspect.

I finally feel like my reading is back on track.  I've already finished 3 full-length novels this month, with one being a Stephen King monster, and a graphic novel.  I'm about 75 pages into "Lizzie" too.  Here's the next set of books up on the stack:

It's supposed to be another hot weekend here so I hope all my fellow heatwavers are taking care and being safe.

    1. It was a lot of fun. Just what I'd expect from a summer shark film. And yep, once again I felt badly for the shark!

  8. Those all look great! And creepy! I check on my pups at lunch too. My coworkers think I am crazy but I would rather spend my lunch with my dogs than them lol. Shhhh don't tell them.

  10. I didn't like going back to work this past week either. I could easily be happy staying at home full time. I am curious about The Disappearing. I hope you enjoy all of your reads this week!

  12. We've just had frost on the ground this morning and are so not dealing with it well here! I'd rather a heatwave! Baby Teeth -- I'll be looking out for your review of that one. Just reading the blurb gives me the creeps/

  13. If you can read a Stephen King novel, that's doing good! I have a few of his that I haven't gotten to, and they're antagonizing me but they're so big! I don't want to pick them up because I know that means setting aside so many great others. It's a hard life.

Glad things are back on track for you! My hubby told me about Deep Blue Sea 2! We may have to watch that one!

    1. It's kind of cheesy but fun. I loved The Outsider so much. It's been a while since I've read any King and it definitely got me back in the mood to read some more.
