This week we are looking at platonic relationships so I'm sharing of my faves!
Seriously, is there any better example of true friendship than Pooh and Piglet???
I've always had a soft spot for Shaggy and Scooby.
I like book Sookie and Sam in the books and the show - bet this will cause some controversy!
Bill Hodges and Holly. There's just something so sweet about their relationship.
I think Lindsey and Beth have a great friendship. Lindsey is so grounded and Beth is a tad flighty so they play off each other well.
Groot and Rocket are so cute and clearly very bonded.
They may be divorced but Chris and Benita are still the best of buds.
Olivia, Gabriel and Ricky - Since I don't want to spoil this I will just leave it at loving Olivia's friendship with both of these guys.
I'm sure this trio will find their way on lots of lists!
Cara and Vincent. Everyone needs a wacky fairy godfather!
So there you have it. Did any of these make your lists? Did the Sookie pairing tick you off?
Ooh I love your picks! Especially Pooh/ Piglet and Shaggy/ Scooby! I'm reading a fun graphic novel series right now called Scooby Apocalypse- it's fun!
ReplyDeleteI own the first three of those I think and am saving for them for a time when I really need a Scooby fix!
DeleteSome great picks, Barb! Rocket and Groot are so cute together. And who can't love Pooh and Piglet. I liked Chris and Benita too. Shea only has a couple of books where I loved the characters. Most of the time he uses them for fodder. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh yea, it's rarely ever smart to get attached to Shea characters.
DeleteI was rooting for Sam and Sookie throughout the books so I was pleased by the ending!
ReplyDeleteI remember that you were one of the few who felt the same way I did.
DeleteYou've got some great examples, of course Harry, Hermione and Ron are one of my favorite friend groups, also Sookie and Sam is a good one!
ReplyDeleteYea, they were probably better friends than anything else. But I always loved Sam the best (imagine - a boyfriend AND a dog rolled into one!)
DeleteOf course I also picked the HP trio. There are so many other great friendships in that book too. I knew you would pick Pooh and Piglet! My daughter and her friend dressed up as Pooh and Piglet last year for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteThere are. I loved the Weasley twins too. What a cute costume idea!
DeleteSome great picks with a wide variety. I think Shaggy and Scooby are awesome too. :-)
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
That's me - very eclectic!
DeleteYes to Rocket and Groot! I love their relationship in both the comics and the movies. Harry Potter has a wonderful trio of friends, even though two of them end up in a romantic relationship. :)
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear?
Well, some of us would rather that romance not happen so we chose to ignore it :)
DeleteLove the variety on your list! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark.
DeleteGroot and Rocket, yes!! I want a whole movie with just them.
ReplyDeleteSign me up for that movie. That would be awesome.
DeleteGreat picks! I liked Sam and Sookie's friendship...I just don't buy them together as a couple.
ReplyDeleteA lot didn't so you have good company. Either way, I'm glad the series finally ended.
DeleteThis is the best list, Barb and your first pick is such an utter gem! I just smiled from beginning to end with this!
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a kind compliment!
DeletePooh and Piglet have an epic friendship. I’m surprised I haven’t seen them on any other lists today.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Me either now that you mention it!
DeleteI don't participate in this meme, but, of the characters on your list, OF COURSE my faves are Hermione, Harry, and Ron!! Yeah, they're the BEST of buds!! Well, until Harmione ends up with.....ah, no spoilers for those who haven't read this series!! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!! LOTSA HUGS TO YOU AND THE PUPS, AND "WOOF, WOOF" TO THEM!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
Don't worry about spoilers but yep, I felt the same way!
DeleteHaha - I love this list. I am Groot.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
Glad to see the Golden Trio on your list. I love them so much and how they play off each other so well.
ReplyDeleteThe Pooh gang, Scooby and his friends, and Hermione and Harry. 💙✨
