So this week's topic is our most anticipated releases for the first half of 2019. Well, I feature those a lot on my Can't Wait Wednesday posts as well as when I haul arcs and come on, it would be easy just to say ALL OF THEM! So what I've decided to do instead is showcase some lesser known books or books from genres I don't feature a lot on The Farm that I really want to read. That way you may find something new and intriguing.
Also, you'll notice a lack of dog titles but that's because Booker T and Cass told me not to mention any because they have a fun post coming up later this month.
Trinity Row - Kelly Martin (March 5, 2019) Haunted house and evil spirits tale that isn't even up on Goodreads yet (so I can't link it).
Your Favorite Band Cannot Save You - Scotto Moore (February 5, 2019) About a band whose latest releases have a powerful effect on people.
Everything is Fine Now - Steve Rasnic Tem (January 21, 2018) A collection of horror featuring ghosts and other creatures. And I'm not going to lie - that cover!
Chop Shop - Andrew Post (June 13, 2019) A suspended doctor and black market body parts.
Ghost Mine - Hunter Shea (May 9, 2019) Who cares what it's about? For me, it's all about Hunter Shea!
The Dream Peddler - Martine Fournier Watson (April 9, 2019) A traveling salesman selling dreams to a devastated small town.
The Blood Heir (Blood Heir #1) - Amelie Wen Zhao (June 9, 2019) This one touts that the Princess is the monster. It also has ice spirits, crime lords and frozen tundras. Yes please!
The Third Wheel -Michael J. Ritchie (January 17, 2019) A man gets dating advice from an alien.
Contrition - Deborah Sheldon (January 15, 2019) - Indie horror by a female author and "...an atmosphere of mounting dread."
A Curse Dark and Lonely - Brigid Kemmerer (January 29, 2019) - So I had to give you one popular title which I am sure you will see lots of today (I could be wrong though). Stormi loved this one and if I didn't want it badly before, I definitely do now.
So there you have it. Hopefully you've found a new title or two to interest you this week.
I have that Hunter Shea one under a different name-not sure what the changes to it are so I'm not sure whether to read my version or get the new one!
ReplyDeleteYea I know it's a reissue and I'm not sure if he redid it or added anything extra. If I hear, I'll be sure to let you know.
DeleteI love your new releases collection, especially Trinity Row, yikes!
ReplyDeleteCreepy right?
DeleteAs always, I'm adding most of your chosen releases to my TBR. Your Favourite Band Cannot Save You sounds like it's going to be right up my alley, The Third Wheel sounds hilarious and I'm always a fan of short story collections.
ReplyDeleteSorry....not sorry :)
DeleteI love seeing some titles that aren't as well known. Another Hunter Shea???!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's reissue under Flame Tree Press. I love how they are making all his covers compliment each other. I definitely see the "Creature" vibe on this one.
DeleteThe Hunter Shea book caught my eye recently. I think I have the other edition. Need to go back and look on my Kindle. Great list and I spy some new ones for me!
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people have the previous one but for some reason, I don't so I'll just wait and go with this one.
DeleteNice job with this list! I hadn't heard of any of the books on it, but they do sound intriguing.
ReplyDeleteThis is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Off to check it out! Thanks for visiting.
Deleteyou are right, I have seen A Curse So Dark and Lonely around a lot. I haven't read any reviews yet. Some of the books on your list may give me nightmares :)
ReplyDeleteYea, it's definitely getting the hype. However, since Stormi loved it, I won't let the hype scare me away on this one.
DeleteOoooo some seriously creepy covers...and I love them. lol
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental My TT
Thanks Sherry!
DeleteContrition and the new Shea are calling my name.
ReplyDeleteContrition is so super creepy!
DeleteI like the sound of a lot of these, especially Trinity Row, Ghost Mine ('cause it's Hunter Shea!) and The Dream Peddler. :)
ReplyDeleteYea, Dream Peddler seems a tad more literary fiction but I loved the premise so I don't think I'll be able to resist.
DeleteThe cover for Trinity Row reminds me for the poster for The Haunting of Hill House - and that alone might have just sold me. :)
ReplyDeleteYes it does!
DeleteThese are all new to me! I would definitely give them a try. I kind of have my eye on Chop Shop.
ReplyDeleteI just got an arc of Chop Shop. I'm so excited.
DeleteOoh, black market body parts. I’ll have to look into these books. I haven’t heard about any of them.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I've got Not Even Bones out from my library now and it's about black market supernatural body parts. Must be a new trend in fiction. Can't say I mind.
DeleteOh boy, today's TTT lists are so dangerous because I'm learning about new books to add to my TBR left and right. The only one I've heard of on here is The Blood Heir!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I know, lists like this are always so bad for the wishlists!
DeleteWhoa, Trinity Row looks so sinister and I'm already half in love with it already. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alicia!
DeleteI adore the concept of The Dream Peddler, that one might need to go on my list. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you review it and I can see how I might like it!
DeleteThe Dream Peddler and The Third Wheel are two that stick out to me right away -- now I am off to check them and the rest of your list out further!
ReplyDeleteThird Wheel sounds so fun. Gotta get to that one soon since I have an arc!
DeleteSome proper scary covers here and quite a few books that I'd love a copy of- particularly A Curse so Dark and Lonely.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
Yes I'm dying to read that one.
DeleteThe Dream Peddler cover is niiiiiiiiiice! 🙌🙌🙌
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping Hoopla gets A Curse so Dark and Lovely. 👍✨
Woah! The cover of Trinity Row is awesome!! I'm definitely going to have to look all of these up on Goodreads!! Great list!
