Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books. It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
FROM GOODREADS: Daphne Templeton's sister Piper is getting married--and their mother is getting carried away. She insists on hiring Sylvan Creek's top event planner, Abigail Sinclair, who proposes an Independence Day theme complete with Statue of Liberty-inspired bridesmaid dresses. With all the bickering among the families, Daphne's glad her only duty right now is pet-sitting for Abby's cat, Ms. Peebles. But there are some fireworks coming that aren't part of the ceremony. The Poconos will never be the same . . .
At a tension-filled dress fitting, the abrasive wedding planner is found strangled by a garter--a weapon both borrowed and blue. Now Daphne's services are required not just for organizing the big day, but for figuring out whether one of the in-laws is an outlaw . . .
WHY I CAN'T WAIT: I love this series so much. Sylvan Creek is such a great pet-centric small town and I can't wait for Piper to get married. Plus, a Independence Day themed wedding - how unusual. Plus, look at Socrates looking all dapper on the cover.
WHAT BOOK CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THIS WEEK???
Bassett hounds are just so very cool! I'm not a big fan of cozy mysteries but I'm intrigued by Socrates!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a laid back kind of dog character. I know you'd love him. But his owner's best friend would probably annoy the heck out of you. But she has a pet rat that's kind of cute.
DeleteStories that involve weddings have the potential to be so funny! This sounds like a bunch of fun😁
ReplyDeleteIt does and I can honestly say I've never heard of an Independence Day themed wedding. You'd think it would fit divorces better.
DeleteThis looks like a fun one, Barb. I'll have to go and look for it.
ReplyDeleteJan, I think you'd like the whole series. This is the 4th, maybe the 5th.
DeleteLove the title. Cozies often do put a smile on my face.

Yes, cozies definitely own the market on titles.
DeleteAw, look at him in his little bow tie!
ReplyDeleteVery dapper isn't he?
DeleteI'm trying to imagine Statue of Liberty themed bridesmaids' dresses. Haha. This sounds like a fun cozy mystery. Enjoy, Barb!
ReplyDeleteI know. I can't imagine a red white and blue wedding.
DeleteLove those titles!
ReplyDeleteAll the titles in this series are awesome.
DeleteHaha - I love the sound of this one - murdered with a garter. Sounds like a cosy mystery.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
It does doesn't it!
DeleteLove the picture of the Basset on the cover. Sounds like an interesting mystery. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for sharing it.

ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Yes, he does kind of overshadow the kitty huh?
DeleteThat title is HILARIOUS, I love it! And Socrates does indeed look dapper. I must admit, as soon as I saw the Independence Day theme, my mind when to the movie Independence Day, so this took on a whole different meaning... and I kind of understood why someone might want the planner dead lol And then I realised of course, this is the actual Independence day!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny.
DeleteI absolutely have to start reading this series. I don't know why I haven't yet. Looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of surprised you haven't read any of them yet.
DeleteThe dog's name is Socrates? I'm in!
ReplyDeleteYes, the MC was a philosophy major in college.
