March Down for the Count!

Well now, didn't March absolutely suck?  And seriously, does April look much better?  However, I can at least say I had a pretty stellar reading month so lets look at the recap.

SNUG - A Collection of Comics About Dating Your Best Friend: Catana Chetwynd (3/5)
The Other Side of Fear (XK9 Novella): Jan Gephardt (5/5)
The Forever House: Tim Waggoner (5/5)
Roo: Alan Baxter (3/5)
A Home For Goddesses and Dogs: Leslie Conner (4/5)
Eight Perfect Murders: Peter Swanson (4/5)
Blackwood: Michael Farris Smith (4/5)
When We Were Vikings: Andrew David MacDonald (4/5)
Kindness Goes Unpunished (Walt Longmire #3): Craig Johnson (3/5)
Mexico Street: Simone Buchholtz (4/5)
Riverdale - The Maple Murders: Micol Ostow (3/5)
Dead Ringer: Nicola Martic (4/5)
Containment: Vanda Symon (4/5)

So overall I read 13 books.  I don't know how but do know I can credit some of them to Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.  Mr. Barb has been playing it a lot so I read while he plays.  It's hard to pick a favorite because there were so many good ones but I really did love The Other Side of Fear.  My biggest surprise was When We Were Vikings and my biggest disappointment might have been Roo because I expected so much more.

So on to April.  Can the world please get a break?

  1. March was terrible for stress and April is not off to a great start. I'm doing a mixture of reading and TV watching to cheer myself up-Harry Potter is being watched a lot! I'm about to start binge watching Gold Rush from the start, so that will be fun! Argh, I just bought The Roo!!!

    1. I think no matter what we all accomplish right now, we are all doing great. These are such stressful times.

  2. My husband has been playing lots of video games, too, which also leads to more reading time for me!

  3. March was so weird, but I feel like April will be more of the same, since were still going to be inside. I'm setting my hopes on May at this point!

    1. I think it's the uncertainty of everything. I could do some house projects while I'm off but that would involve running around so I feel stuck and like I'm wasting valuable time.

  6. April does look a bit grim, doesn't it? But hey, you had a great month of reading in March. That's a bit of a silver lining. And I'll take silver linings any where I can these days. :D

  7. Today starts week 4 of me staying home, so I could sure use an escape from the house lol. Looks like we will need to just keep on reading!

  8. March was a very bad reading month for me. I couldn't seem to stay focused and bounced from book to book. I have a bunch I have to go back and finish now. Weird month!

  9. March was a mess- so true- and April looks sucky too but maybe if we keep reading we can at least avoid some of the unpleasantness! Glad you got some good reading in. I'm hoping mine will pick up. I'm gonna try to finish Riverdale S3 this month... :)!

    1. I am working on catching up with Season 4. I've made it to episode 8. It gets stranger and stranger.

  10. I have a feeling that we will be remembering the months of March and April for the rest of our lives. It looks like you had a great reading month. I still need to read When We Were Vikings. I hope you read some great books this month!

  11. Thirteen books! 🙌🙌🙌

I have to hop over to Goodreads and make sure I added When We Were Vikings to my TBR the first time you talked about it. 👍✨

I hope you are well. 🌞
