Feed Your TBR - The Meet-Poop

Can't Wait Wednesday, which I have adapted to better suit my blog as "Feed Your TBR" is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight highly anticipated books.  It is based on the Waiting on Wednesday meme which used to be hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

FROM GOODREADS: Shit happens…

Supermodel Lior Flynn is at the top of her game: gorgeous, confident, and successful. But as her thirtieth birthday looms, she finds herself growing tired of the constant media scrutiny and even more tired of men who only view her as arm candy. Yearning to travel the world's beautiful places rather than just pose in them, she's ready for a change and ready to make a real connection—if she can find the courage to take the first step.

Bestselling novelist Graham Forrester is still reeling from the collapse of his marriage to a flashy socialite turned influencer and officially done with high-drama women. Trapped post-divorce in a house that no longer feels like home and tending to his beloved old dog Brontë who doesn't have long to live, he knows he's stuck in a desperate rut but has no idea how to get out.

When Lior's designer sneaker hits a steaming pile of you-know-what from the sweet golden retriever at the end of Graham's leash, it's no meet-cute - in fact, it's a meet-poop. And every encounter after is somehow messier than the first, until a chance moment when both let their guards down and sparks fly. But can Lior trust Graham not to put her in a book and bolster his own fame? And can Graham trust that the drama of Lior's life won't derail his own?

WHY I CAN'T WAIT:  I love an enemy-to-lovers trope and throw in a good dog, and I'm sold.  Plus, this just seemed like a perfect title to showcase on a blog that was created in memory of one of my seven favorite boxers (secret-I've only owned seven ❤️)

WHAT BOOK CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THIS WEEK???

  1. Love the title and the concept, although I'm worried for the dog who doesn't have long to live. I hope it's not a depressing ending!

    1. I hope not too but I'm thinking maybe the dog brings them together so he will have someone. I MIGHT be able to handle that as long as I prepare myself. Who am I kidding, I will still cry.

  2. It does sound cute, but I hope the death of the dog isn't part of the plot. That would be a real turn off no matter how cute the rest of the book is. It is a cute concept though. I never had anyone step in my dog's poop but someone was talking to me once and my dog peed on them when they got bored and wanted to move on.

    1. A long time ago we were having a backyard cookout and a friend brought her cop boyfriend. No one liked him (because he was a jerk, not because he was a cop) and when he wasn't looking, our boxer peed on him. He had on jeans and never did realize it and no one wanted to tell him because we found it hilarious.

    1. Thanks for visiting Jordan. When we got married, our first dog we got was a boxer and the rest is history. We are on numbers six and seven right now. They are such characters!

  6. It sounds good, but I don't do very well with sad animal outcomes. Cute cover.

    1. I find if I know the outcome ahead of time I can deal a tiny bit better. Are you aware of the website "Does the Dog Die?" where you can find animal spoilers for books and movies. It has been a lifesaver in the past.

    1. It's just a unique enough premise to work - and I'm sure it's happened to someone right?
