This week's topic looks at books we planned in reading in 2017 but didn't quite make it, so we've bumped them to 2018. Gee, I only get 10???? This shouldn't be too hard.
I'm pretty sure The Prey of Gods will be the first one up, and then I'll move on to some January review books. I have to track down a copy of Dogs of War before I read it and I'm not having an easy time of it unless I want to pay more than I usually pay and get it from Book Depository.
Have you read any of these and which ones would you recommend I knock off first?
Ooh, that's some list! I see one or two I haven't heard of too. Can't wait to hear what you think of Into The Drowning Deep. Both books were killer.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first novella so I really need to make Into the Drowning Deep a priority.
DeleteThe only one here that I tried was a sample of Dogs of War. It just wasn't for me but that doesn't mean you won't like it! You know how picky I am about things!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I;m curious about it but also kind of put off on it. Right now I'd have to order a copy from Book Depository so I'll be holding off for a while at least.
DeleteYet again, you've mentioned a bunch of books that I've never heard of and have caused my TBR to rapidly increase. Your blog needs to come with a warning - I'll never be able to get my reading under control if I keep coming here! :P
ReplyDeleteHaha. You can't stop coming so just resign yourself to adding to your TBR :)
DeleteYeah, I could fill out 10 top tens, easily. I do want to get to Into the Drowning Deep- it's on my audio tbr. Here's to reading all the books in 2018!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Thanks for stopping by Kate!
DeleteI saw your comment that you just finished Prey of Gods and loved it! I'm so happy to hear that, I really need to get with it and make time for this book already. I hope you get to Into the Drowning Deep, I think you'll love it!
ReplyDeleteI have high hopes for it. Gotta see when I can work it in.
DeletePaper Ghosts is on my list of books I want to read in 2018. I love Heaberlin's books and can't wait to read it. I also really want to read Broken Girls. I hope you enjoy all of these, Barb!
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Broken Girls so here's hoping!
DeleteI hope you get to read some of these soon! Even though I read a ton of books last year, there were still a lot I missed.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the case with a lot of us bookworms?
DeleteInto the Drowning Deep is on my list for this year as well. But I need to finish her Newsflesh series first...
ReplyDeleteI haven't even started that series. Too many books....
DeleteI think you'll like Into the Drowning Deep! And Even The Darkest Stars looks quite good too...
ReplyDeleteMy library just got a copy so I'm hoping to reserve Even the Darkest Stars soon.
DeleteI'd go with Into the Drowning Deep not because I've read it (yet) but because she's a solid author. I haven't read any of the others. Good thing I skipped this TTT because my list would be pages long!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love almost everything she writes - no matter what name she uses.
DeleteEven the Darkest Stars looks beyond gorgeous! Thank you for making me aware of that book *runs to Goodreads to stalk anything and everything about that book*. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you love it!
DeleteI haven't read any of these yet, but Into the Drowning Deep is on my list to read as well!
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT: http://buecher-monster.de/2018/01/09/top-10-tuesday-ten-books-we-meant-to-read-in-2017-but-didnt-get-to-and-totallyyyy-plan-to-get-to-in-2018/
You have some great books on your list as well!
DeleteI haven’t read any of these either! I hope you love them all when you get to them. ♥️♥️
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm unfamiliar with most of these, so I won't be much help! The only one I really recognize is the Mira Grant, and I'm pretty sure it would be too scary for me. I have enough nightmares about deep water as it is. But I hope you get to read and enjoy at least some of these in 2018!
ReplyDeleteYep, stay away from it then. I read the Grant novella from this series in December and there are a few creepy water scenes.
DeleteThat's pretty much what I thought. Thanks!
DeleteI'm not familiar with any of these titles but I hope you get to read them in 2018!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eve!
DeleteThere are so many books that I mean to read but never get around to. Into the Drowning Deep is on my list.
ReplyDeleteSuch problems huh?
DeleteI have a couple of those books! :)
ReplyDeleteI knew you did :)
DeleteI really just need to read any Mira Grant book! Hope you can get to these books this year. Great list! Thanks for visiting my Top 10 on Lisa Loves Literature.
ReplyDeleteI hope I can too. Maybe I should slate one a month.
DeleteThe Prey of Gods sounds so crazy, I can't wait to see what you think of it. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIt was crazy - and crazy good!
Deleteoh wow the Sins of our fathers??? That title is just fantastic! I want to read it JUST because of the title! AND THE COVER!!???
ReplyDeleteThe cover of Into the Drowning Deep reminds me of Certain Dark Things! LOVE THAT BOOK!
You should check out the Sins of our Father series. I read the first and loved it. It's has lots and lots of witches!
DeleteI really enjoyed The Broken Girls. I thought it was super creepy! Good luck on your reads this year.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. You know me, I love creepy!
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but I hope you love them! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Erica!
DeleteBest of luck! I hope you are able to get these books in this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you and thanks for stopping by The Farm.
DeleteInto the Drowning Deep is one I'm hoping to get to this year. The Broken Girls sounds really good too!
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people will be reading the Mira Grant book.
DeleteThe Prey of Gods looks so cool - hopefully we'll both like it!
