Stacking the Shelves/Sunday Post (12-01-18)

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves or TBR piles, may it be physical or virtual.  This means you cans you cam include books you buy in a physical store, online, books you borrow from the library or friends, review books, gifts and of course, ebooks! The original meme was started over at Tynga's Reviews. And it now has a new co-host where individuals can link up as well - Marlene from Reading Reality.  Clicking on the book (or title) should take you to the Goodreads page.  I'm also now linking up with the Sunday Post which is hosted by Kimberly@Caffeinated Book Reviewer

I haven't done one of these for two weeks and to be honest, I'm not sure what I've hauled so I'm going to have to put on my thinking cap.  I may leave something out but I can always catch up.  I had a hold come in at my local library and of course, I couldn't walk out with just one.  Seems like I've been waiting on "The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein" for some time.  And even though I really didn't like "The Couple Next Door," I have been wanting to give the author another try so when I saw "An Unwanted Guest" available, I grabbed it. It has one of my faves - a wintry setting.

While I was shopping at Wal-Mart, "My Forever Home" jumped into my cart (that's my story and I'm sticking to it.  I've read the first in the series a year or so ago and while I still need to read the second, I wanted to get it while it was available (and cheap).  I love how you can see all the dog but the people have no heads - yep, I'm twisted that way.

And finally I received a few review books.  One I read the synopsis of "Out of Salem" I knew it was one I wanted.  I'm adding "Christmas Secrets by the Sea" to my December Contenders list - see the puppies???  So anyone who visits regular and also is active on Netgalley, if you saw "The Puppy Who Knew Too Much" you knew it would end up here right?  And finally "The Last" sounded like a great thriller so when I received an invitation, I snatched it up.

So what did you add to your shelves this week???

  1. I didn't realise An Unwanted Guest was out...typical when my book ban is in full flow! The dog is much more important on the cover than the people and it is a lovely dog!

  7. An Unwanted Guest is a great read for the winter - best enjoyed in front of the fire with a cup of warm cocoa in hand and a pup curled up by your side, while the blizzard rages outside. Hope it works better for you than the author's other book!
