TTT - Best Books In 2017 So Far!

This top 10 weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and can be found HERE.  Each week they focus on lists which cover various topics related to books and reading.

Today I'm sharing the best books I've read in 2017 so far.  I hope my Goodreads ratings are reflective of what I think are the best.  Let's see.....

So far I've had seven 5-star reads:

Downward Dog: Samm Hodges
The Supernatural Pet Sitter: DianeMoat
The Most Beautiful: Mayte Garcia
Certain Dark Things: Silvia Moreno-Garcia
A Perilous Undertaking: Deanna Raybourn
Greedy Pigs: Matt Wallace
Dread & Breakfast: Stuart R. West

I've also had several 4-star reads so here are the honorable mentions:

About a Dog: Jenn McKinlay
The Money Pit: Renee George
The Marsh King's Daughter: Karen Dionne
Just Add Water: Hunter Shea
Mormama: Kit Reed

So I guess technically we have a top 12 but I just felt it was important to mention these 4-star reads because they have been some of my faves as well.

What made your list this week?

    1. I enjoyed the both. Certain Dark Things probably remains my favorite read of the year so far and Diane Moat is such a great author. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book in this and her other series.

  2. I'll be reading more Matt Wallace this year if I can fit it in and I'll maybe get to Certain Dark Things this summer. I plan to read the Renee George book next month and Just Add Water as soon as I get a copy. Nice list!

  3. I think the only thing I've read on your list is Just Add Water! I remember eyeballing Certain Dark Things but didn't pick it up for some reason or the other.

    1. It seems we've been reading a lot of the same books this year. I just finished Unsub last night. Definitely check out Certain Dark Things, especially if you like your vampires dark and vicious.

  9. Yeah, I don't think I have as many five star reads compared to the same time last year, so filling ten spots will be tough because then the 4.5s will have to duke it out, lol. You just reminded me though, I still need to read Greedy Pigs!

    1. How can you forget Greedy Pigs? I think Tor sends some of their digital arcs out so early it's easy to lose track of them.

  14. I love Deanna Raybourn but haven't started the Veronica Speedwell series yet. It sounds fantastic! The Paranormal Pet Sitter looks like a lot of fun and About a Dog is calling my name. I love Jenn McKinlay's cozy mysteries and am excited to see how she does with a different genre.
